Yeah... But if there was not an ounce of Kyuubi chakra in Naruto's system, then there would be nothing to heal him.

Rasengan or Chidori won known. They would always fly back or someone would break it up. It would be a giant collision, Rasengan is more cooler. But Chidori is more powerful, if Sasuke goes into Curse Mark level 2 he will overpower Naruto. Who was in one-tail demon form. So it is basically a tie, since Demon Naruto and Curse Mark is not includded.

I disagree with you on that, if you have saw this one anime naruto episode where Sasuke and Naruto fight ontop of a hospital, you would notice after Kakashi pushed both Naruto and Sasuke away from hurting eachother, you'd notice what destruction Sasuke has caused to the water tank, but once he left, he looked at Naruto's water tank, and noticed what destruction he left behind, which was more destructive then Chidori, and if you ever seen the first Naruto Movie, at the end of the movie, you would notice how easily Doto Kazahana, the leader of the rogue ninja. Easily stopped Sasuke's chidori, and when Naruto used Rasengan, which turned into the 8 coloured chakra, it had broken the indestructible armor of Doto Kazahana, causing it all to fall off, and him to hit the wall, which probably got him killed or broken every bone in his body.

That's because of the nature of the two attacks. Rasengan is explosive, while the Chidori is basically a sharp sword. The Chidori is designed to be a quick killing move. You charge it up, then rush your opponent and stab them in a vital spot to kill them. The actual attack si not flashy at all, it's designed to be quickly kill an opponent.

The Rasengan is different. While the Chidori is comparable to a sharp sword the Rasengan is comparable to a grenade. The Rasengan, when it hits you, damages you pretty everywhere. It has a large destruction radius, as a result it also doesn't really kill you.

The two attacks are different sides of the same coin. The has a large destruction radius with low damage power, while the more concentrated Chidori has an extremely small destruction radius, but has extreme piercing power to the point that it can cut through anything.

That is why Kakashi taught Sasuke the Chidori. He knew that he would go up against Gaara, and that Sasuke would need an attack that could literally cut through any form of defense Gaara could form. It would be an especially effective against Gaara because he pretty much never moves, when fighting. This proved to be true when Sasuke's Chidori tore right through Gaara's sand shield and punctured him in the chest. However, it didn't kill him. There-in lies the Chidori's weakness. The Chidori is a gamble because it is only effective if it kilsl you. As already mentioned, the Chidori has an incredibly small destruction radius, only damaging the immediate area that it hits. As such, if the Chidori faisl to kill it's opponent then it's about as damaging as getting hit with a kunai. Gaara, even after egtting stabbed with the Chidori continued to fight, pretty much ignoring the fact that he just got stabbed in the chest.

This is why I think the Rasengan is superior. People think that the Rasengan sucks because it doesn't kill anyone. Well, since when is killing actually necessary? Completely disabling your opponent works just as well, if not better then killing your opponent. And unlike the Chidori, the Rasengan never fails at it's task. If you hit your opponent, it won't matter if you hit them in a vital spot because of the Rasengan's attack radius.

YouTube video

The attack completely surrounds you in chakra, so no matter where you get hit it's still just as effective. And so far everyone who's been hit with the Rasengan hasn't kept on fighting.

Actually Rasengan only surrounded Kabuto cause Naruto let go of it while doing the move on him. Whereas Chidori tears, Rasengan grinds it's target. It can be manipulated to be nonlethal or lethal, whereas Chidori will always kill you.

How about the fact that you can only use the Chidori twice, if you try to use it the third time you are most likely to die, this is what Kakashi said to Sasuke after teaching him the Chidori. But with Naruto's Rasengan, if you remember naruto episode 106 where Sasuke had used Chidori against Aoi's Raijin sword, which was most likely affective because If I'm right Sasuke used the Chidori two times on the Raijin sword, and that second time, he had cracked the Raijin Sword alittle bit, which was useful because Naruto had used his Rasengan, if I'm right 3 or more times, and that last time he noticed that crack on the Raijin Sword so he went for that vital spot. Breaking the sword that Second Hokage had used, and ontop of all that Aoi went tumbling down the cliff. This proves how effective both Chidori and Rasengan is, but overall Rasengan proves to be much effective then the Chidori, plus the other reason I posted above BlaxicanHydra.

naruto can use rasengan so many times because of his large chakra capacity. if u look at older sasuke he can do chidori as much as he wants plus manipulate it. so now that sasuke's chakra increased there basically is no limit to chidori

...

*sigh*

Chidori =< Rasengen

Raikiri > Rasengan

Habataku Chidori > Rasengan

IMO ^^

Nah 😛

How can the Raikiri be stronger than the Rasengan but the Chidori not be when they are the exact same move? Well besides that Raikiri is what Kakashi says and Kakashi could probably beat Naruto if they collided and Naruto was just using his own chakra and not Demon Fox.

they arent the same raikiri has more concentrated chakra. sasuke used it against itachi when his skin was peeling off

When in the manga has the Chidori and Raikiri ever been stated to be different?

It doesn't, but the different name thing is a give away IMO

Raikiri is just the nickname that Kakashi got for it by supposedly cutting through lightning. Gai explains this when Sasuke uses Chidori for the first time.

chidori -a rank
raikiri- s rank

look it up its in wikipedia and saiyanisland naruto central all those websites

Because Wikipedia is such a reliable source...And like I said when was it ever stated in the manga or anime that they are two different moves. Gai says they are the same moves Raikiri is just the nickname Kakashi got for it from cutting through lightning. When else does it state anything about it?

Which is why Itachi referred to it as chidori? They seem to be the same move. The only difference I can see is Kakashi's seems to be a little longer.
