Compare the girl who is pretty, spends a ton of time making themselves look even prettier, and complains that they think they're ugly, with the one who might still be attractive, but is fine with the fact that they're not perfect and basically goes "It's who I am, why try and be anything else?". Which of the two do you think has higher self-esteem?
You said I must be worried about how I was and being called pretty was one of a number of things I cited to show this was not the case.
