DS has all ways been Darkseid since his introduction in 1969, DS has shown to be a top level Sky-Father frighting Zeus and Odin of his Universe, having the Guardians of the Universe sh** in their pants every time they see him. You just don't kill races of Gods regardless how powerful they are, you don't devolve a sky father being in Validus to a child who pawned PC Super Boy, Ultra-Boy, M'Onel, Darkseid has pawned the JLA in his astro plane form. Because Ds has not been written like his counter part Odin on a constant basis, that doesn't mean he can not beat Superman with inch of his life.

I’m not saying that Supes should take the majority against DS, but it IS possible for him to pull a couple of wins because it goes along with DS’s character and mentality for him to try to beat his opponent on his opponents own terms. Now for those who think that Supes only have a chance against DS if Loeb is writing the story, I have here five(count ‘em, FIVE) instances of Supes taking it to Darkseid and his avatars stretching all the way back to Byrne’s Supes. There’s probably more in fact, but I just started gathering all of these together so it‘s likely that I haven’t gotten them all yet…

I agree completely. That's the same reason I don't see Hulk giving Thor a tough fight to be PIS, because(like DS) Thor likes to get in there and mix it up with Hulk. If Thor went all out he could pull 10/10 easily in that fight but it goes against his warriors code to do that kind of thing, so he doesn't. That falls under CIS rather than PIS, so it's still valid.

Then why does Darksied talk about how he hasn't fought someone in hand to hand in a long time? Seems as if it's all avatars to me. To which DS already commented on Someone powerful enough like Superman being able to defeat them. At any rate, DS doesn't even need to fight Superman hand to hand. DS has banished Superman enough times with the OE and OB's for THAT to be considered. IT is PIS for Superman to block any energy from DS when DS has constantly banished Clark with Ease using the Omegas. So the PIS starts the moment Clark was able to meat or block the Omegas. That is all. Besides the fact that Superman is also much stronger than Odin, I still think Odin would kill Superman. A brick should NEVER beat a being with as many powers as DS or Odin. That is all.

See Darkseid is the kind of guy that actually LIKES to get in there and mix it up man to man. That’s why he uses all that exotic stuff against the JLA as a group, but when Supes wants to try to go at it one on one DS it’s mostly h2h. But the thing is according to forum rules that behavior is still valid, because it’s “in character” for DS to behave that way.
I’m not saying that Supes should take the majority against DS, but it IS possible for him to pull a couple of wins because it goes along with DS’s character and mentality for him to try to beat his opponent on his opponents own terms. Now for those who think that Supes only have a chance against DS if Loeb is writing the story, I have here five(count ‘em, FIVE) instances of Supes taking it to Darkseid and his avatars stretching all the way back to Byrne’s Supes. There’s probably more in fact, but I just started gathering all of these together so it‘s likely that I haven’t gotten them all yet…

In a fight where character isn’t taken into consideration Darkseid wins 10/10 against Supes by using all those exotic abilities he has in his arsenal, but as long as the two of them both fight in character DS shouldn’t take more than 6 or 7/10.

Superman has consistently stalemated and defeated Darkseid in one on one combat.
Anyone who claims that Superman "shouldn't" be able to defeat Darkseid is either:
1) ignorant of the fact that Superman consistently does well agaist Darkseid in combat
or:
2) are so incredibly biased that despite the fact that Superman has the PROVEN ability to hang with and defeat Darkrseid, will lie, twist facts, and fabricate facts in order to lie about the fact that Darkseid has NEVER been able to consistently dominate Darksied in straight up combat.
In summation:
1)To claim that Superman "cannot"or "should not" defeat Darkseid is FALSE, once and for all.
2) Right now, Superman has Darkseid's number having dominated him in their last 3 fights in a row.

I did consider it. Did you not see the part where I said that DS COULD use his more exotic abilities to get an easy win over Supes? But if you'll notice, DS himself considers teleporting his opponent away in the middle of combat to be a loss for him.

Why? WW's bracelet's have deflected them, Raker blocked them, Firestorm redirected them, and Supes himself has deflected them with HV, evaded them, AND strait up withstood them. Face it, the OE isn't the ultimate weapon it was once portrayed to be.
You're right of course, assuming that the character like DS or Odin actually USES all those abilities. However as I've already proven, it's more in character for DS to try to mix it up than to get a cheap win. In DS's own words "though Darkseid my scheme, he never cheats" and "Honor demands hand to hand combat". See what you're not getting, is that no one is really trying to say that DS CAN'T mindrape or BFR Supes, they're saying that it's out of character for him to do so during a fight.
Wait. When did fire storm redirect the omega effect? he never did. That was the omega force. When did wonder Woman block the omega effect. Oh she redirected them. Which was still PIS. There were no finder beams. When did superman block the OE's? I don't recall any finder beams. That is all.
