I say it will be Captain Mar-vell, if not Nova. Either way it's somebody coming out way out left field. Hell for all we know it could be "Hulk".

Luke Cage
Iron Fist-long overdue
Echo
Ronin- Captain america
Dr. Strange-long over due
Wolverine
Hercules
Spider Woman
Captain Mar-vell or Nova or Thor, hell it could be Magneto

Nothing wrong with this team atol pretty much, Lukes been a leader so its thats old hat for him he has the the right kinda attitude anyway. Hell ide love to see Mags make his return as a frikkin AVENGER!

I don't know if I'd call Iron Fist a street leveler. I think he could definitely give characters like Spiderman and Wolverine a run for their money with his exceptional powers.

Cause the Avengers were always big draw points? Honestly pre-Bendis the Avengers weren't that hot. Now to say the book will only sell cause of the name isn't giving credit where credit is due.

I'm talking about currently, not the sales of the book a few years ago.

And I was only making an observation. No need to get touchy just because what I said might have had negative implications about your Avengers.

They seem kind of late with the release today, don't they.

I'm not sure about Luke as a leader, I think that might be a bit of Bendis shoehorning the character into the role he wants him to fill. This could be good, could be absolute crap too. The team isn't really exciting me, some of the members are cool, but it doesn't look like the ingredients are adding up to something really exciting, for me at least.

I agree ✅

This line up combined with the dodgy Dr strange pic of what looks like Cap lying on a table, plus the cover of civil war fallen son having a blood stained shield on it is all pointing to the death of Cap in Civil War 7. If Cap were to survive surely they wouldn't have Luke Cage running the team!

Anyway Cap is too popular to stay dead and his latest series has got nothing but good reviews from what I have seen so my guess is New Ronin = Cap ✅

Sersi, Emma, Black Cat, She Hulk, Selene, Gamora, Ms. Marvel, Power Girl (oops wrong company), Dagger, Spider Woman, & Black Window.

I'd buy that for a dollar 😮‍💨

The eighth and last member of the [new] New Avengers is, who else, but Spider-Man:

Oh I have the issue. I agree that it was a terrible way to send off Alpha Flight. I see what he was trying to do (make the Collective seem uber strong by taking out the team and having it happen off panel was kinda like how horror movies use that unknown to scare the audience). Saw where he was going but it just didn't work out imo. I also read his comments but I never construed it mean that Alpha Flight wasn't dead. I remember specifically that he was asking point blank if the team really is dead and he made some smart remark along the lines of dead as doornails, but then went on to say how he's opened the doors for someone else to come along and pick up the pieces. Anyway, I've wandered from my main point that sales for the book haven't been steadily decreasing. The conclusion of the Collective arc (with still no AF in sight) outsold the previous issues.

Joe Q stated Alpha Flight wern't dead, and that the AF fans not to freet as something big is going to happen to them. No one flat out stated their were dead as a doorknob as the outcry was huge. It was the Hawkeye syndrome all over again. I already explained it, as Bendis and Joe Q specifically stated that there is something going to happen to AF so people bought it to see what it would happen. Even people at the alpha waves forum continued buying the series hoping they would learn of the fate of the team.

God, I hate Marvel 😒

Seriously. Spidey, Wolverine, Spider-Woman, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Dr. Strange, Echo and Ronin? Possibly THE worst avengers team ever 😐

Yet there are those at newsarama claiming this to be the best team ever...woe is me.

Well that was "shocking". 😐

I'm sure it will still be better written than Mighty Avengers 😬

Bendis always writes better street level characters than bigger, more powerful characters

Seriously, a female Ultron?!? Who the hell thought that was a good idea?! Jeph Loeb?!?

Should've saved the Strange reveal for last. At least then they would've finsihed with a bit of a surprise.

There have been female "Ultron"'s before

Yeah, but I thought that writers were more evolved than that to have to make a story based on a stupid "shocker".

Then again this is Brian "Not this way!" Bendis 🙄

I really like this Avengers team. If these guys are the "black ops" Avengers, I really think the book's going to be good.

Right, they continued buying the series. So that doesn't explain why the sales for each issue continued to rise if it was just the same old people buying the books, even though it was glaring obvious Alpha Flight was out of there.

Last reveal was no surprise. Just as I expected (and hoped). Obviously some people here but don't like it but I'm hoping everyone will at least give it a chance before declaring it the worst ever
