Which is why people need to stop obsessing with the character's looks and more with his abilities. Hal's appearance is much easier to pull than his personality 🙂
I felt they would go after someone who's a star already, to bring profile to a hero not well known outside comic circles. Just like Marvel did in casting Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man.
The fascinating thing about Ryan Reynolds now, is will he still push ahead with the Deadpool movie? It's a chance for him to indulge in off-the-wall black comedy; something he can't do while playing Hal.

i doubt he will still do deadpool. He may have played Wade Wilson in Wolverine but his entire performance consisted of two or three scenes. To see him mainline a Dc and Marvel movie is something i find doubtful.
