Skrull Psi-Blockade

If there's one thing the X-Men are known for it is their powerful telepaths. The Skrulls have preped for such an occassion. They assemble the Dreamers. Seven Super Skrull telepaths each hooked up to a Cerebra-like machine all of which who have been trained to fight the X-telepaths.

They inhibit ALL telepathic communication across the GLOBE.

It hurts to even broadcast a thought 10 feet

A Cerebra linked Cuckoos channel their power into a Cerebra linked Emma so she can locate the Psi-Blockade. Her mind gets caught in the Skrull thought wall and is SEVERED from her body as a result her body is shutting down she is DEAD. (Similar to how the Shadow King exists)

This means that Emma is not boosted by Cerebra or the Cuckoos.(The Cuckoos even break the Cerebra Link after Emma's "Death".)

Secret Invasion X-Men #3
(29th October 2008)
Writer: Mike Carey Artist: Ma Sepulueda

The Cuckoos have broken their link with Emma after passing her off as dead which she is. Her mind has been totally severed from her body, she exists only on the Astral Plane much like the Shadow King. As a result her body is shutting down, Scott orders the Cuckoos(Aided by Cerebra) to keep her body alive by manually controlling it's autonomic functions.

Emma pretty much trashes the Dreamers on the Astral Plane, she shuts down the thought wall and returns to her mindless body.

The Dreamers were trained to take on the X-Telepaths and were boosted by Cerebra-like machines. Them blocking telepathy on a Global scale is no joke. Much like many of the other Super Skrull telepaths:

Psychic Torture

Cable #7
(1st October 2008)
Writer: Duane Swierczynski Artist: Ariel Olivetti

Emma manages to probe Bishops mind, however he has become so insanely obsessed with killing the Messiah Baby that he's started having Death Fantasies which are so real that it's difficult to separate fantasy from actual memories. He's also throws in a lot of false memories to slow Emma down as he knows that he's unable to block her powers. Emma eventually manages to probe for even more information once Bishop starts to reveal his plan with dealing with Cable.

Cable #8
(5th November 2008)
Writer: Duane Swierczynski Artist: Ariel Olivetti

Emma slowly tortures Bishop and extracts information by his mind by shutting down his synapses one by one. She eventually stops because she doesn't want to completely destroy his mind.

It should be noted that it can be some what difficult to probe Bishops mind for telepaths since he absorbs psychic energy. Regardless, it should also be noted he's stil suscpetible to other non-conventional uses of telepathy.

Yeah, but it looks like he's wearing some kind of power-inhibitor around the neck in the above Cable issues. This should make him as psi-resistant as any normal human. Or? Id' guess Bishop would still be a far cry from normal even without his powers due to extensive anti-psi preps and training.

That is true, it worked for Esme though when his powers were on but I don't think she tried to probe him.

I wasn't going to post this in the thread because I hate the story but I needed to for completeness, here's another instance where it's stated that Emma feels nothing in Diamond Form.
