I liked the story and the art was great but my favorite thing about this series seems to be thye know to poke fun at themselves.

Sasquatch himself acknoledges what a strange team having USAgent on the team and arachne.

Looks more promising than MA in terms of storylines and artwork and maybe fightscenes. I actually like the fact that the wrecking crew was able to smack down sassy.

Yeah I enjoyed the Force Works joke.

"It’s rather ironic then that it would arrive the same week as Avengers: The Initiative, a title that itself was supposed to be a limited run but was given ongoing status before its first issue. I won’t spend time comparing the two since one of my colleagues is reviewing that title but suffice it to say that I think Marvel gave the wrong title an indefinite run."

I think it's perfect for someone like Bill to appear and make the save, or Talisman after declining to join.

Talisman would be more fitting as they have a history together.

True, but Bill wasn't mentioned at all last issue and would be perfect since it's Asgardian vs. Asgardian and the Crew is supposed to be killed and Bill is the type to do that.

Also with Sasquatch fighting the Crew in a thunder storm it could be perfect way for a "thunder god" to appear

USAgent could've done a better job against the Wrecking Crew than Sas did ... if he still has that power truncheon that is.

Agent has a jobber aura that is 2x the size of Caps

Seriously, the guy beat Ronin

Ronin for f*cks sake 😐

With one hit too 😎

Omega Flight has now sold out at Diamond:

Could a on-going follow?

I really hope this turns out to be an ongoing. Its one of the few new titiles that seems appealing and refreshing.

IMO this knocked Mighty Avengers out by far, and Avengers Initiative seems promising but doesnt have that traditional Super hero feel. More like a hero in training thing which is cool but theres lots of other titles like that around.

When do we find out if the sales are good enough to become an ongoing?

Thats really up to Marvel. I don't think there are any exact numbers.

And I enjoyed this and I enjoyed Mighty Avengers but I agree that it was better than Avengers Iniatitive. AI was a big let down.

That's a joke, The Intiative was far superior and I read both of them.

As I have, I thought Omega Flight was slow, but didn't think Initiative was that good. I'll be picking up #2 regarldess [A: I]

In your opinion maybe. I also picked up both and while I am well documented as a staunch Avengers fan I didn't like A:I. I'm going to read the first arc and then decide whether or nor its a keeper or not but for right now it wasn't very good. It pushed all the wrong buttons for me.

Omega Flight had a nice feel for me. It got down to the basis of the team and explained why they were necessary, the reason for the name change etc. We didn't get to see the team, but the groundwork was laid. All in all I found it quite enjoyable.

I actually liked they weren't a team right away, I often want to see how the team is formed. I think Authority is the only comic that I know that in #1 didn't feature any members.

Pushed all the right buttons for me, I found Omega Flight extremely boring and it was hardly up to the standard I expected. If it was continued to be written how it was in the first issue as an ongoing I would not buy it, I can't see it becoming an ongoing how it is right now, if it does it will be a very slow one at that.

I found the Intiative suerb in comparison, Dan Slott never fails to come up with the goods in his work, it already had characters you really liked and he was very bold in murdering off probably the most likeable character of the team in the first issue.

It's all about personal prefence in the end, everybody has different tastes, neither of the books were bad but I just found OF alot less enjoyable than I thought I would.

I just read Omega Flight #1, and it was pretty good.

A little slow in parts, but that can be expected with something like this.

When it starts picking up a bit more, it will be a fantastic read IMO.

Mike said in an interview #2 is going to be all action, US Agent fights Daisy [mentioned in #1]

Very true, it is all about personal taste. I agree that Omega Flight moved a bit slowly. It wasn't too bad imo (if you want to know slow then just read the new JLA). And the fact that it was written be an ongoing instead of a mini probably played a faster in the books pacing. I'm sure if Oeming intended it to be a mini it would move faster. I just read his Ares mini and am in the middle of reading his Stormbreaker and so far I am impressed with him.

Also Slott did get points for having the balls to kill off one of the most likeable characters. I did not see that coming. What I didn't like though overwhelmed the good points. Didn't like that they are focusing on the "dark" aspects of the story so soon. What I want to read is how the Initiative is helping the youngsters and making America safer. Not how the anti-regs were right all along and that all the government is good at is covering sh*t up.
