It is incorrect to say that everyone who leaves Islam is automatically killed. Thus, if an apostate causes no harm to the Muslim community and does not call for spreading hostility towards Islam, he is not to be punished, rather he is to be advised kindly and wisely to let him know the true image of Islam.

Thats untrue Fatima. Converts are killed in accordance to sharia law. And Allah premits so, because they have known the truth, and have turned their backs on it.
I know you are allowed to implement Al Taqiyyah on us all. unfortunately that works only when people are complitely ignorant of Islam.
For those unfamiliar with Al Taqiyyah - it means that Muslim can lie to a non-Muslim for the benefit of Islam.

I know for a fact that they have freedom of religion in their Constitution ("No one shall be compelled to worship, or to participate in religious ceremonies and rites, to reveal religious beliefs and convictions, or be blamed or accused because of his religious beliefs and convictions."😉, so it's up to you to provide evidence to the contrary.

Under the article of 301, which took toll not even 2 years ago, there have already been persecutions for converts.

Article 301 makes it a crime to insult "Turkishness," and the people in the article you link are not on trial for converting from Islam, but for insulting it and attempting to convert others to Christianity. Regardless of whether it should be legal to insult Islam and try to convert others (of course it should, IMO) that's a far cry from being arrested for converting to Christianity. In fact, you'll notice that they both converted over a decade ago, with no fuss.

For God's sake, don't I addres that in my post? Don't I explicitly state that they should have been allowed to do that? The question at hand isn't whether Turkey is tollerant (although they are compared to many other Muslim countries), but whether people were put in jail for converting away from Islam. Lilbitchiness gave those people as an example, and I pointed out that that wasn't why they were on trial.
