so, did anyone read the Wildstorm search for Ray Palmer issue?
It was a better depiction of the Authority than I've seen most of the time out of their own title. But the Authority are intrinsically good people. They're blood thirsty, reactionary, and solve problems through violence. But they're not just insane killers, and when people who don't really work with the characters write them, that's how they always feel- like Captain Atom's mini. Jack Hawksmoor would never just go into alternate timelines to kill hitlers for the fun of it.
and how did Jason Todd get in a fight with Grifter so quickly?
Countdown seems absolutely useless as a whole. Maybe if they stopped showing pieces of the storylines per issue and had a whole issue devoted to the storylines like with 52 it would be more cohesive and seem faster. But to me it seems like they're just trying to make an excuse to drag out the story line I mean.. c'mon.

Yeah, pretty much. And an endless series of cliffhangers isn't storytelling. I'm just interested in keeping informed before FC. But now that I can do it with other titles, I'm going to ditch Countdown.
Nor not the only one. I've also stopped buying Countdown. Final Crisis should be a whole lot better.
So I didn't buy Countdown this week. Woo!
In other news, I think the search for Ray Palmer is only spending 1 issue in Wildstorm. Bummer.
But Majestic looked like a godly badass. I'm happy he and Apollo didn't fight because there's no way he loses while looking like that. And where was the Doctor? And they still treat the Authority like theyr're nothing but overgrown bullies...it must be CA: Armageddon hangover.
All in all, kinda disappointing.

Was i the only one surprised by the Wildstorm Palmer issue fight between Jason and the Engineer?Jason was the only one who landed a hit...
It was about two panels worth of fighting, and he side-stepped some bullets. They were in a city...if the Authority had given a damn about them, Jack would've had the city phase itself into their insides from moment one instead of just throwing punches (he hurt Donna, btw), and Jenny would've actually fought, the Doctor would've been there, Angie would've made 20 duplicates of herself or a building-size construct, etc. etc. etc.
Nice try though.

They should've taken out everything but Trickster and Piper.

whoa.... so another issue of countdown in which Mary Marvel was mean and Piper and Trickster comically escape another situation, the Moniter, Donna, Kyle, and Jason fail to find Ray Palmer, and a cliffhanger!Jesus this book is so bad.
