Shit...

Could this be a win for Prime then?

It can now be argued Prime would win if neither held back.

I wonder whats happened to Monarch know.

Shame because that would have been an awesome ending.

Alright then guys I'm just kind of wondering what we should categorize Monarch's attack as.

Now I'm not gonna argue the scope it was big, but I was wondering what effect do you think it had.

To me it seemed as if the blast only effected living things. As evidenced by the rocks and stuff being shown afterwards. We also know that a Monitor is strong enough to survive the blast.

So what level would you place the blast on I'm just kind of wondering?

Didn't the Monitor protect himself and the earth as well?

I Don't remember it saying anything about him protecting Earth from the blast?

Heck he didn't even know if his shields protected the plant or not.

Unless they clarify more in future issues, from the narrative and pictures, it's actually a mound of dirt and a plant and the Monitor that survived. And he seems it was most likely his shielding that protected it.

I don't know. We do see the picture where the plant is, and looks like there is still clouds, and a sky.

So it seems like more than just a mound of dirt would had to survive for there to be a possible atmosphere?

That's how it shoulda ended if you ask me. 😄

K,
If it was the Guardian's kamikaze attack that amped Prime up, and made him look adultish -- then why the hell did he look exactly the same after he was united with the Multiverse at the end of the issue? 😕
Answered.

Darkseid's been planning absolutely everything. AND since our Monitor Friend here, seems to be aligned with big D, not only is trickster wanking off, but this probably means Monarch's bene right about the Monitors all along. Darkseid's the real character to watch in all of this

I want to see the Monitors in battle more.

Indeed, Countdown began with DS setting up the pieces in the game.

Hail Lord Darkseid! pray

Darkseid does indeed seem to be manipulating the mulitverse but who really knows who may actually hold the multiverse in their hands. I hope it isnt Darkseid.

evillaugh The 4th world's end heralds the 5th world. I'll be posting scans from DOTNG 5 here later.

Let's see Thanos do that. 😈

That one page has just made Countdown worth reading. 😄

I hear ya. Before the SMP vs. Monarch fight, I was ignoring this series outright.

But now, with the big reveal that DS is behind all of it (See DOTNG 5 for confirmation), it takes on a new meaning.
