Writers/artists do it all the time - change little things about a character to more suit their tastes.

Sometimes the changes are more drastic than others, but...eh.

Well, the issue is basically just the big grand finale end of this Earth - the consumption of this planet's people by the Morticoccus virus, and also the death of Una (at the hands......sigh.....of a sh*tload of rats) - and the setup of Kamandi: The Last Boy on Earth.

Starlin's art is just terrible here. Maybe it's the inker, or maybe he just rushed through it, but the idea of a planet being turned into animals certainly doesn't look fantastic. It looks as silly as you can possibly get.

All the Challengers just apparently up and leave, too, when they realize "Well, this place is boned." Rather odd.

Gotta say, the conclusion to this series seems more like a relief than honest fun & anxious anticipation (which is how 52 ended, IMO).

Backup story is the origin of Mr. Freeze, FYI.

I love how about 80% of Countdown is now worthless, since basically it was just to get everyone in the same place (Apokalips) and infect Earth with Morticoccus. Seriously, I could read through it again and go whole issues without encountering something that ends up having relevance to the central story.

I am wondering, is it established that there is only one Apokolips? i mean in all the 52 universes is there only one?

So lets say superman from earth 23 goes to Apokolips and superman from earth 1 goes there at the same time...will they meet ?

And has it always been that way?
