The Wolf Pack

"I'm starting to get old.. You most certainly deserve someone younger" He said, nuzzling up against her and leaning his head at hers.. He was not sure how to respond to what she said.. That she should be the one asking.. He did not have the answer.. It just felt like an obvious thing, why her.. A wonderful wolf such as herself. It was suprising that one like her was without a male.. Well, untill recently.

I may diserve one younger, but I am happy with the one I have. *She stays close to him, her ears facing him at all times so she wotn miss his words*

Carbo laughed at her words.. "Well, I will just accept the fact that I have you, then.. Seems you wont change your mind anyway" He said, cuddling up next to her.. He gave her a quick lick on the cheek, before turning his head to observe the pups that were playing..

*Blinks some, having not expected his lick on her cheek, she turns to lick his softly, also watching the pups*

Carbo laid down on the ground, releasing a deep breath. He watched out over the pups, not knowing how much more luck their pack could have. The deer that Carbo hunted down thanks to Kiri was just pure luck. The pups, he himself and hopefully the majority of the wolves remaining in the pack was satisfied. The deer still had some meat remaining, and Carbo turned his head up to Champion. "How are your stomache?" He said, turning his head back to the deer.

Len blinked, "Um... Hi, Kiri..." He said softly, looking past her, "Is that a member of the blood pack?" He asked, his fur slowly standing stiff. "You shouldn't be talking to a pack such as them, Kiri...." He then looked around again, "Jeez..... I'm too hungry to talk right now, I'm off to find a rabbit.." He said before attempting to walk away.
" huh? "

Kiri's tail dropped. What was all this rivalry nonsense between the solid pack and those other wolves she now understood to be the Blood pack. Chance was so nice! how could her pack be..bad..? kiri shuttered. She hated that word. It sent her cowering at home.

When she heard him mention that he wanted to go get food she raised her tail once more, her tounge slid across her nose, wetting the two pink corners beside the black center.

" I'll help you! "

She said, smiling. It was early and she was beggining to get hungry too. She shivered then, it was colder today.

Len's ears flattened slightly as he heard her, "I suppose if I said no you would still follow?" He asked with a sigh as he walked, his tail wagging ever so slightly as he walked, sniffing around to pick up a rabbit trail. He shivered slightly as the cold air stung his nose slightly before sniffing again, "I can't pick up any trails... Maybe the humans got everything..." He pouted.

*Champ is still watching Carbo, as she lays next to him "it is fine why do you ask?" Though she knew why, she enjoys talking to him anyway*

Ignoring his original comment she wagged her plummed tail and smiled. looking up she sniffed the air.

" I can help! "

she said, placing her nose on the gorund. Breathing in deeply she worked her way across the cold, damp earth, her body wiggling as she did. she licked her lips and wagged her tail softly, then got back to sniffing. She was good at this, she had been told. finally she cought something. Locked on, she boltd forward. As she reached a bush she barked, and a dew birds flew upward.

She wagged her tail. laughing as the birds flew fearfully. she cocked her head then. Never before was she actually supposed to catch them. grinning she jumped for them, reaching hiehgts that seemed unexpected for her height. her teeth sunk into one of the birds, killing it instantly.

Len sweat-dropped slightly, "Um.... I have nothing to say... except birds have little meat and carry plenty of sicknesses..." He said to her and walked past her, continuing to sniff around, his ears then sticking straight up, and he lifted his head and looked around, 'A scurry of an animal...' he thought to himself before pressing his body against the ground and slowly stalking his way towards the sound.

Kiri looked off sadly and dropped the bird on the ground. Her tail dropped between her legs and she sighed and walked back toward the river. when she realized chance was no longer there she set off back toward the den. she missed her boy, and her mistress all too much. She knew she would never see them again, and wouldn't try to trick herself into thinking otherwise. she looked into the den and noted champion and Carbo still lying closely, conversing about something. she trotted past them, keeping a distance as not to upset either of them, she was not in the mood for a protective bite at the moment.

One of the pups nipped at her ankle, and she bent down, wagging her tail softly. let her haunches fall to the ground she nudged at the two playful pups baraging her. She playfully pushed each one away and then did it again as they ran back. The playful little ones kept going until, finally, the clambered around her and fell asleep. she let her head rest and sighed softly.

Len eventually found out it was just some rustling leaves, making him sigh, "Damn..." He cursed, his ears flat and his tail slightly between his legs before looking around, yet again. He sighed before walking in no direction in particular, just looking for food. He hadn't eaten for a few days, and he was devastatingly hungry. He said to himself before layong on the cold ground, thinking what he should do for food.

"Well, I wanted to make sure. It is some food remaining, and it would be a shame if it got wrecked. Especially concidering the condition that the pack currently is in" He said to Champion, before getting up from his laid down position. He observed over the pack. There was not much else he could do at the time being. The pack had food and The Blood Pack was laying low. Of course, he had his mate. But even though she was a lovely wolf, he wanted more. He wanted to uphold the responsebillity he had to the pack. Simply, he was bored. He walked to the edge of the den, watching out over the woods..

Faith came walking from a successful hunting session that she held on the Blood Pack territory. She held two bunnies by the ears with her mouth as she leaped from one rock to another. Her own little den was located up the rocky hills, a mile or two away from the Solid Pack den. It was quite rough reaching, considering you had to do some mountain climbing.

As she came to the other side of the river, she halted and sniffed the air. The scent of a currently nearby wolf had reached her nose and she climbed up on a high located rock to gain a better view. Several yards away, Len laid on the ground. He seemed like he was in agony, probably from hunger.

She leaped down, halting in front of the wolf. She did say nothing, just observing him where he laid on the ground.

Len, already able to smell the blood from the rabbits, and the fur and breath of the new stranger, sat up slowly and turned towards the scent, "....." He had nothing to say, he just watched not even caring about the rabbits, he was more worried if he were about to be attacked or not.

Faith sat down, watching the wolf. She knew that the wolf were not going to attack her. No wolf in that condition would be that stupid. She leaned her head to the side while keeping eye-contact. He seemed like he was starving, but Faith had her princips. She would not offer him the food, he would have to ask for it. She remained silent, sniffing him gently. She could tell he was from the Solid Pack, thanks to the scent that he gave out.

Len didn't move at all, his eyes staying on hers, before standing up and taking a few steps back, a cautious step back, before perking his ears up, "...What do you want, coyote?" He asked, trying to show that even in his weak state, he wasn't a pushover if this animal wanted a fight.

Faith opened the mouth, dropping both bunnies on the ground to speak. "The question is moving more into the direction what you want" She said, lowering her head to watch the two bunnies that had landed on a rock. She had food enough to last at least the upcoming week in her den. She raised her head again, looking the wolf deep into the eyes and again lowering her head to the bunnies, watching them carefully.

Len's eyes fell to the hare's, and slightly drooled, ".... I uh... Don't understand what you mean..." he said before his eyes drooping back to the rabbits, "...Oh... I won't resort to begging for food, if that's what you think!"

"I am not asking you to beg. But you are hungry. It is shown from miles" Faith sais, lifting one of the bunnies up by the air. She gives out a mumbling sound, like if she was talking with food in her mouth. Which she were, but she was not chewing it. Just holding it "Say the words and your hunger will be satisfied" She said, giving a smile to Len.
