The Wolf Pack

Len then frowned a bit, and began to say something, but stopped, and sighed, "Can I have one of the rabbits...?" He asked softly, more embarrassed about having to ask for food, but none the less, he needed it or he would surely starve.

She smiled, grabbing both rabbits by the ears. She walked carefully up to the wolf, placing both in front of him. "Eat all you can" She said, scuffing them closer to him with her nose. She was happy to help a fellow wolf, as long as he or she had the courage to ask for food. It was a pitty to see creatures die of hunger due their pride.

Len sighed before leaning down and sniffing the rabbits and slowly biting in to one, ripping it's flesh from it's body, and chewed lightly, not once taking his eyes off the female before him, in fear that she might attack.

*Champ follows him, staying close to him* You and I can share responsibility... if you want....*She stays standing, her white fur shines bright, pure white other than where his blood is on her shoulder*

"I am not going to attack you" Faith said, watching Len eat quietly and slowly. "If I were, the moment I saw you would be best. When you were unprepared" She said, shooking her head. She started thinking, where have all the faith one another had for eachother. Did no one trust a fellow wolf nowdays? She gave out a sigh, not knowing where the world was heading.

Carbo turned his head and watched Champion. He sighed quietly, saying nothing. He did not want her to carry the weight he did, nor did he want to say no to that sweet wolf. He simply remained silent, watching out over the wolf. He turned his head for a moment, watching into the den. He could see some of the pups playing and Kiri sleeping. He was not sure what he did wrong, but Kiri seemed to be avoiding him. Maybe he hurt her when he pushed her away from the deer. Maybe he took away her pride or something. He did not know, but he did know that she had avoided him for some time.

Maric trotted around the den lazily, following the strong scent of Kiri, his latest interest. When he found her limp body, he smiled at how peaceful she looked asleep. He cocked his head to the side as he sat on his rear, following an urge to be around her if anything were to happen.

An impulse though it might be, he did not have any intention of leaving her anyways.

Kiri awakened and rolled on her back to look up at maric. She had given up the dominance act. She yawned, her mouth widening and her ears flattening, and then stood, careful not to step on a pup. She shook from nose to tail, and then grinned, stretching on her front legs, bowing as her fore paws straitened on the gorund. She smiled at Maric and wagged her bushy tail softly as a freindly greeting. She then looked toward the rockes surrounding the den, and eyed Carbo, She smiled and her tail thumped the ground softly.

" morning! "

She barked softly, trotting a bit closer. She still kept a distance, nervous about what Champions reaction would be. She was a large wolf, beautiful and graceful. She seemed so powerful, and if she thought kiri was compromising her relation ship she was afraid of what might happen to her. She had once seen a female Shepherd become protective of her mate, and the other female did not come out of it too well.

she trodd past, her tail and ears lowered, and into the grass on the oposite side, where she nipped at a butterfly. she looked back at Maric and wagged her tail softly.

Thanos was watching his pack carefully laying down he looked at every wolf he could see at the moment he makeing sure they were ok and then closed his eyes and listend to things around him

Len just continued eating the rabbits, "I don't trust anyone I've never seen before..." He said to her, not moving his eyes from her's.

"Not even food is able to bribe you? I know what pack you belong too and you if anyone know that food should be a token of peace" Faith shook her head, yawning. "My name is Faith. I am a full-blooded Coyote and proud of it" She said, putting herself in a kneeling position to show her respect. This wolf was in her age, at least somewhat to a similarity at least.

---

Chance was laying next to the den, noticing Thanos was up. Her tail started to wagg instantly, not exactly sure what to do. In all joy, she charged the alpha male offensivly, going in for a tackle.

Thanos looked up and saw Chance going in for a tackle tried moving but was to late

Len sighed deeply, "Point taken.... I'm Len, I'm a wolf and a fox mix.." He said simply, "...Why are you bowing..?" he asked before taking another bite of the second rabbit.

Faith looked up at the wolf. "Well, you are a member of a pack. That makes you a more valuable resource than me and deserve the respect you can gain. Being a member of a pack is an under-rated responsibility" She said, sitting up again. "Does the rabbit taste well?" She asked him, leaning her head to the side.

---

Chance rammed straight into Thanos leg, as her tail went straight up into the air, wagging. She leaped up, biting him and hanging in the fur under his head, dingling. "How did your hunting go?" She asked him eagerly, shaking her head while biting him in an attempt to wrestle the wolf to the ground.

got his bearings and pinned her down alittle "alright decent catch"

Len sighed, "We are no better than any other animal.... And the rabbit... Thank you, It's delicious."

"Good morning, Kiri" Carbo said, observing the wolf with a smile on his face. Once again, she kept a distance, and this made no sense to Carbo. What had he done wrong? He gave out a yawn, as he had not woken up entierly yet.

Kiri raised her pale golden face toward the sun. It shone down brightly along her muzzle, and lit up her golden eyes. She slightly opened her mouth, tasting the crisp morning air. She let her head fall, then, back into the shadows for a moment before standing. As she stood she stretched once again, arching her body and basking in the warm sun that penetrated the cool stagnant air. She turned her head then and looked back at Carbo. He seemed annoyed with her, but she couldn't figure out why.

She sighed and began walking slowly over to the river. Her paws touched the ground silently, and she seemed to blend in with the environment. She had never liked being alone, but now it seemed it was all she ever did. She laughed softly at her own irony and continued walking, her tail swishing softly behind her. When she got to the river she bowed her head over the quickly flowing water. she listened to it's soft noises and stared down at her rippling reflection.
What Am I doing here? What am I feeling...? Im scared, but im thrilled, im happy but im crushed. Why am I so hurt?
She continued staring into the river, looking eyes with her own reflection. She questioned it again and again, but the answers wouldn't come.

"There is something I have to do right now" Carbo said, turning his head to Champion. "I will not be long" He said, stroking his head to hers before leaving the den. He smelled the air, carefully following the trail of Kiri. He could not keep his mind straight until he found out what it was he had done wrong. Despite his agressive past and cold upgrowth, something had changed in him. Now when he had Champions, he valued his emotions more than ever. Having someone as nice as Kiri avoiding him was not something he would allow. Not without knowing the reason, at least.

He stopped when she was within sight. From a small distance, he could see the wolf by the river. She was not the only wolf Carbo could smell, though. But that was not important in this matter. Slowly he walked a little closer, stopping half way and sitting up on one of the rocks, he looked at the wolf. He sat there, waiting for her to notice him before he was to say anything.

Maric raised his head to gaze at the sun, letting out a snort before he started towards Carbos rock. "We're about ready for this mornings hunt.." He sighed, Scratching behind his ear with his hind leg. "You can stay here if you like, but we'll need extra hunters to supply enough food for everyone.. If not, the male adults will have to eat small amounts.."
