That I was suggesting the Bible was able to convey proof of God.
That was not what I was saying.
You said:
Do you really expect a being that is spiritual by nature to be tangible by science?
I said:
But this being is able to be conveyed in a book?
If a being that is spiritual by nature cannot be tangible by science, then that being cannot be tangible by a book.
Originally posted by ShakyamunisonThat's poor logic. It would depend entirely upon the subject matter of the book. If the book is spiritually inspired then it would be able to convey the nature of a spiritual being.

If such a being interacts with the physical world, then yes, I do.

You didn't know I was talking about the bible? 😱
BTW how can a book be spiritually inspired and not be able to be understood by science?
Not, huh?

Jesus was a fool though, you don't want to listen to that nut.
I'm, huh, sorry... Not really. I don't know exactly where you come from or who do you think you are, but Jesus had no internet nor massive media for education, he also died. I don't know what makes you think you have the right to call any figure a fool, but well, it was just uncalled. Is Victor Hugo a fool?

I think it was an attempt at sarcasm.
Originally posted by BentleyI am pretty, pretty sure my country and the freedom on the Internet gives me the right to call anyone I want a fool. That's my first point. Second, though he used the word sarcasm incorrectly, Shakya is right, it was a joke directed at debbiejo's nonsense.

Do you consider your beliefs to be based on logic?
Of some sort yes.
You literally beleive in a all powerful white man who lives in the sky. Many people who beleive in God, including myself, Shakymunison, and Lil B define God as something we can't fully understand. A unifying force, more of an entity than a person.
You give God a gender. You give him such narrow definitions. You beleive in a self-contradicting God. One who "loves us unconditionally", but will commit murder, genocide, and torture to maintain order.
You know what I beleive already. In my perspective, if God exists, it is neither male or female. It is both. It is the sentience of the universe. That leaves much less conflict than the self-contradicting limitted deity you beleive in.

Said the wise man???To call someone else a fool, makes one a fool. Even Jesus said that, but in harsher terms.

But books are within the scope of science. The bible was written by humans who thought the world was flat and the sun went around the Earth.
Originally posted by Adam_PoETo expect that it is is foolish. To check is another. I would say it's foolish because we know so very little of spiritual things to say what power it can have over the physical world.
How is it foolish to expect something that can affect the physical world to be quantifiable?

Anthropologists would say you've already limited your view of god because you only include two genders. In fact, I would say your god is very very limited.

...Yes, they are, but you are assuming that the inspirer has no knowledge of science which would be a poor assumption.
No, they didn't think it was flat. If this were true you could prove this...
You need to read the OT. You will see that they believed the Earth was flat and the sun went around the Earth.
