Assassin's Creed [merged]

Started by WrathfulDwarf28 pages

So I got off from work and drove to my near Gamestop to pick up my copy yesterday. I was really pump with excitement. To my surprise...my copy wasn't there....the game will arrive today.

Yes, I'm not happy.

Because early this morning I read Gamespot's review. They awarded the game a score above 9.0. Which made it more interesting for me. Reviewers are split on this game. I want to know what makes the game hated or beloved.

Gamespot and GameTrailers are the two site is usually agree most with (even tho Gamespot sometime have some weird choices), and they both gave AC above 9. Seems good.

I literally held the door open for the UPS guy as he left.

Now, if only my 360 would get here... ahh well. I'll play after Game Design class on someone else's system.

Friend wants me to go with her to the library, when i was suppose to get this badass game...

hmm

Poon? or Badass game? ... poon....game... dammit!

yeah i know, eb is bullshit. they sell you a game gor 75 bucks then a week later'll only pay 25 for the exact same game then turn around and sell it for 50.

I wouldnt complain dude, it could be like before and have no trade in whatsoever.

Even though I dont get my alot of money back its still a fair bank of change. I dont mind it all. Trading in Zelda😛H for Super Mario Galaxy and I only paid 33 bucks for it.

I was going to pick Assassins Creed up today, but of course, its Canada and they dont get until tomorrow, probalby later too.

Thing is, poon is a maybe. The games a definete.

I'd go get the game. Let the poon marinate just for now and make up an excuse.

Just like when i tell my girl that all i'm doing is "thinking with my eyes closed" when i'm actually sleeping whenever i'm forced too watch one of her romantic comedies with her cause she sees the movies I like with me.

And it's not always lie all the time cause when i'm sitting there silently suffering with eyes shut i'm actually thinking of going to bed, so.

They'll always understand soon enough.

That's how the company makes a profit. We don't make anything from new game sales.

And sheesh, guys, how many times need I say it? I know I did in this very thread...yesterday was the ship date, the majority of places will get it in today 😛 95% of the time the date that is always announced as being release date is actually the ship date and thus most places get it the day after, unless it is street-dated.

We actually got ours yesterday, had about 30 extra copies, and as of right now are completely sold out of non-reserves.

The mini artbook we have for reserves is pretty sweet, I got to snag one of those for myself (one of my friends reserved it but gave me his artbook).

Earlier a customer at Gamestop got into a altercating disagreement with a cashier about A.C.'s ship date and the release date.

They just kept going and going. I myself wish there wasn't this new "ship date". Just give me the "release date" and save us the frustration.

Who cares when it ship. All I care about is "what time and day can I go pick it up."

You confuse the hell outta people when you announce a "ship date". I thought the this ship date was the day the game was available.

Let UPS or DHL or FedEx deal with that term. Not consumers.

lol i bet there was a line outside gamestop yesterday with people waiting to get A.C. only to get told to piss off.

We're not the ones announcing the ship date as the release date, that's the game companies that do that. Blame them.

Its been like that for years. Someone that invested in the game should have a full understanding of how it works. 🙄

Funny, we don't have that system here.

We only get the release date, and many stores have already gotten the games a couple of days before the release date, never experienced a game being delayed unless the store itself messed up.

I learned the "ship date" system years ago, 99% of the time its the next day. Some big games are the exception though, like I got Mario Galaxy on the ship date, but it was late in the evening, and I called ahead. 🙄

My problem is that there isnt consistency when it comes to shipping date and when the game gets there.

Assassins Creed for example doesnt get to the stores till tomorrow, which is late to the date that everybody got.

But Halo 3 is released exactly on the date they said it was going too. It's not EB/Gamestop's fault at all. They just reciever the games when the companies release them but I think overall, the system is completely flawed. I just want consistency.

Some games are street-dated, some are not. Halo was street-dated and most places had it a full week before the release date.

It is incredibly annoying, trust me.

Get the game.. get the poon..

I'm liking the game pretty much so far.

Graphics look pretty....more so in certain modes.

The controls aren't as difficult to get the hang of as some were making it out to be.

I'll definitely be neglecting The Orange Box now. I'm pretty much scared to get Mass Effect next week. Don't want to get distracted from this game.

Too Many Good Games!

I plan to buy this game come Friday.

I don't need to, really, since I am currently addicted to Call of Duty 4, but I want to experience the awesomeness that all of my peers exclaim to me about Assassin's Creed.
