USH'S MATRIX GAME 2006 THIRD ASSIGNMENT- 'The Fortress'

Started by Fire66 pages

Seeing as everyone is so against me swapping weapons, don't really see why in the long run those guns are going to be better.

I'll edit my post. Tap HC on Burn and normal attack on sentinel, Still swap out HT for CC

1-4; initiative goes to bad guys. Something that, once more, was not accounted for. Burn goes down; he most certainly should have been healed and tapped CC earlier.

That being the case, Fire can have his weapon swap! Which is lucky, because no matter which way you cut it, trying to attack and use HC in the same turn is completely out and the turn would have been wasted on grounds of legality.

Melis- yes you can.

Klez- got'im.

Now Burn to worry about, eh?

Meanwhile, Marduk's group has become stuck; too many sentinels. You lost too many gunners!

Card- 5H

Sennacherib reaches into the darkness above him and pulls a chain...

... and just as Dallas arrives at the Doorway, a huge iron portcullis falls across it.

"You gotta be shittin' me," says Dallas.

Oh HELL...

(I'll come up with something other than that later...)

...

Um.

Shit.

-

Coordinating...?

HEPH, SIRIN - Get through to Doorway Middle, join up with Dallas. Don't you dare drop this turn, Heph...

BALDER - Grab Melkor and we'll move down to Doorway East.

FIRE - Grab Burn and move to Doorway Middle, join up with Dallas.

-

Mors swipes at a Sentinel at three as it comes towards Balder and leaves the sword stuck in it as it snares on its armor, then smashes another in the face as it comes towards, all the while moving to Doorway East.

When the gate drops, Mors feels a chill go down his spine as he realizes that they're trapped.

"Captain...?"

(tap HT, swap HT for PM, drop katana)

Klez unleashes a burst of gunfire as the Sentinels begin to swarm Marduk's circle, gunning down as many as he can.

(tap CC on four Sentinels at three, swap CC for BGB)

Heph cringes as he sees the portculis drop, but continues making his way towards Dallas. If he's going to die, he'd rather die by Dallas.

Still, he's not dead yet. He swiftly unleashes a furious cannonade of fists into a Sentinel's face as he moves to Doorway Middle.

Again, klez, you have Eagle Eye; it's a real waste to target the threes. There are plenty of people who NEED sentinels that damaged to target.

Klez will target the four at one, then.

Sirin thrusts her open palm into the face of a Sentinel, then turns and swings her fist across another's mandibles, snapping one of them, while moving to Doorway Middle.

(tap HT)

Klez quit trying to target the heavily damaged sentinels. I'm going to throw a knife in your direction if you do it again. Well, okay, maybe not, but my point (haha) still stands. You can take down less-damaged ones, leave the heavily damaged ones for those who can't as easily.

Barb, I would suggest tapping HC. You're close to going down and we can't afford to lose anymore people. I also want you to move into the inner circle, get out your gun, and start shooting things. You have EE, make use of it.

Azrael, I think you might be of better use right out outside the circle; you've got decently high MA pool, HT, and HL. You also have DiM which will let you ignore armor. So move.

I really do kind of need to heal but I think I'll try and hold that off another turn if possible...

Can't think of anything else at the moment, if I do I'll add more.

In general, though, I think right now would be a good time to go all out. I was going to tell Klez to tap either CC or LR, but he's already doing that, so yeah.

San will look around for any possibility of another way out while tapping IB to kill another sentinel.

Melis snaps her fists into a Sentinel, and then into another, as she tries to clear out the Center Columns Middle square and move on with her circle.

(tap HT, swap SS for LB)

I'll pick up burn and move towards Dallas While doing that I shoot at a sentinel from Doorway East using both CC attacks on it.

Anyone have DM?
Or some grenades left?
I might, provided Ush allows it.

Cloud just mumbles through his pain, "You cheat...you said you wouldn't interfere..."

Okay, I know we weren't able to before when we got to the fortress, but I think a dropped person should try calling an Operator...

And once I figured out what Burn was talking about, it makes sense...DiM is good for breaking inanimate objects, right?

I'll do it.
I'll try to call Adriene

Berserekr will tap BS and IB once again striking at at any sentinel he can.

He will tap LA for defense.

Then he will switch out BS for HT.

Stick with bread and butter, attack nearest Sentinel and move towards Doorway East.

Question: By tapping a power, does it lose its passive ability? (Like, if I tapped LA right now, would I be able to still use it?)

Once you tap a power the regular effect from it doesn't work until it's been refreshed.

Actually, Mors doesn't want to drop his katana. It's too useful...

Keep everything else, though.
