"I knew you were a JE shipper and that's also what I didn't get about you guys being convinced that it was Port Royal because why would Liz go back there if she has Jack? Why would the film go back there anyway? Port Royal is a place of decency and restriction and every character in the film has outgrown that or died."----ericadawn
Ah, that's the reason for the excitement. Keep in mind Liz probably isn't here. She and Will can't go back to Port Royal. However, Beckett and Norrington were in Port Royal when we last left them. So maybe this has something to do with that. I think some people jumped to the conclusion that just because Jack and Gibbs are there, the rest of them must be. Jack's much more used to sneaking around than Liz and Will are (even though they're good at it, too) so he would go back to Port Royal without as much to worry about as they would. Maybe he's there to go kill Beckett or something. There could be a million reasons to make a stop there, hopefully Liz and Will being married not one of them.
Although, if that's the case, it's interesting Jack would go back to them, isn't it?
Hey, mates..? Can we change the subject of Port Royal 😉?
I think it's ANY OTHER PLACE THAN TORTUGA. Im not saying its Port Royal either, but it doesn't look like Tortuga to me *shrugs*
Change subject 🙂
James with his sword.
My analyses: He looks unsure on what he is doing. It kind of shows in his expression. As if thinking "Is this worth in getting my name as commodore again?"
Oh Oh Oh...i just thought of something! In the trailer there is a line that Beckett says something like: Now its a matter of choosing a place in the final Battle, or u have to choose ur place in the final battle or something...maybe he is saying that to Norrie cause he sees that Norrie doesnt feel at ease with the Stuff that Beckett does!! Just a thought!!
I Honestly feel that Norrie has a bigger role in this Movie than they are giving him credit for in the trailers and stuff....I Think Norrie will be part of the surprise ending!!

Norrington does have a bigger role in the film--one might say a pivotal role. You're right about one thing, Norrington is conflicted about what it is he is doing for Beckett. When we see Norrington in AWE, he has served Beckett well, but at the cost of the honorable man he once was. For example, Beckett is taking piratesnd making them slaves, Norrington is carrying out those orders.
We don't really see him start having attacks of conscience until a confrontation with Governor Swann and a confrontation with Davy Jones. In the old leaked script, he redeems himself by releasing Elizabeth and her men, but much of that has been changed, according to rumor.
That is a really cool shot!
This is actually in purgatory. Jack and the Pearl are trapped in the sand and there are all these really weird mocking crabs running around. The crabs put the Pearl on their back and carry it out to sea.
I think the crabs are Tia Dalma's minons because if you think about it, she has the crab legs that she throws down in DMC, when she says "a touch of destiny."
