I'm not entirely sure, but he shoots his "good" self when he's on board the Pearl. Which, that picture where we saw a person falling off the back of the Pearl, is probably Jack's good side falling to his doom.
This may be the part where they pan back to show that there aren't really three Jacks, and that Jack is actually all alone, talking to himself. It's actually a really tragic scene.
Alright ladies, what else?
Well, he's not really sober in the scene. He's really deranged. He's in the middle of a desert, in purgatory which is one step closer to hell. His punishment is that the Pearl is marooned in the middle of a windless desert and he can't get it to move at all. For a man who has never been land locked, it's a terrible moment. So he's gone mad....er...
What I find really interesting is that Jack seems to be chained to the Pearl. He can't simply abandon it and walk away. His decisions earlier in his life, his quest to get back his ship and the principles he sacrificed to get there (i.e. the deal with Davy Jones) have made it so that even if he would want something else (i.e. Elizabeth) he couldn't have it unless he gave up his ties to the Pearl.
That I know I mean seeing a sober version of him. You know like the honest one, good one, things like that.
It would be funny. Actually underneath it all I think Jack is really smart. I mean remember the part before he sees bootstrap. He is looking at a map with a compass is what its called.
Who knows what he went through in the past. Maybe he didn't start off a pirate.

wow!! I wonder how he came across Bekett in the first place?
He worked for Beckett as a merchant sailor and for the East India trading company on his ship the Wicked Wench. The rumor goes that Jack refused to transport cargo for Beckett and in retaliation, he torched Jack's ship and it sank. He also branded Jack a pirate for his insubordination. So Jack called upon Davy Jones to raise the ship from the depths. After the ship had been returned, he re-christened it the Black Pearl and became a pirate.

OK, let's try to focus on the trailer. Unless Jack shoots someone else during the later course of the film, that's more than likely after his good self kicks the bucket.
See, we're figuring a lot out about the trailer so it's not so much of a mystery!
Sorry gang, I have to go to class and do non-pirate related stuff. But please carry on without me. I'll catch up.

Hey, mates..? Can we change the subject of Port Royal 😉?I think it's ANY OTHER PLACE THAN TORTUGA. Im not saying its Port Royal either, but it doesn't look like Tortuga to me *shrugs*
Change subject 🙂
James with his sword.
My analyses: He looks unsure on what he is doing. It kind of shows in his expression. As if thinking "Is this worth in getting my name as commodore again?"
