I can't seem him really keeping in touch with them, not because he wouldn't want to but because of the nature of being a pirate. I can't see him mailing letters and being their penpal. I wonder if it was in some kind of newspaper since Liz is the daughter of a governor and that would be a big-to-do. Or maybe Will just told him off-camera.
The "I'm so ready to be married" wouldn't be what would tell him, though. Liz isn't even talking about marriage here. She's talking about sex, and Jack interpreted that as her being horny and he was going to take advantage of it. It's not like she said, "I'm so ready to go back and MARRY WILL since OUR FIRST WEDDING got ruined."
Onto Beckett, yeah, I don't get why he waited a year to arrest them. Why purposely crash their wedding when he could have gotten the compass almost a whole year ago? He's smart, but I don't think he'd wait and wait just to see if this girl who has a fiance has a soft spot for Jack. What girl doesn't? It in no way implies Jack has a soft spot for her. Maybe he has to have the heart by a certain time, meaning no earlier or later than when he sent Will to go get the compass.

ya i dont see him writing letters either! I dont know but he knows and there is a reason for that! it just shows he's been interested in them...or her for that matter!! lol

I know we talked about this a long, long time ago, but this idea of Tia and Beckett both biding their time does make me wonder if they know about each other, I mean have they met. When exactly did Jack get the compass? Wouldn't it be twisted, but also really cool, if she gave that to him with the intention of him finding the heart of Davy Jones and bringing it to her so she could see him? Maybe Beckett heard of that plan and found Tia before Tia found Jack, maybe promised to find a new captain of the FD so Davy could be free. My head is spinning now.

maybe some of their seemingly innocent conversations were actually done for us die hard pirate fans to spot them???

or maybe Beckett and Tia are in cahoots and Tia told Beckett about the Heart, and she also told Beckett that Liz and Will may be able to help because Barbossa told her about Liz and Will being on an adventure with Jack! So Beckett ruined the wedding Told Liz FATE INTERVENED....and then Tia told Will A TOUCH OF DESTINY, and didnt hesitate to tell them where the Flying Dutchman was to recover the heart for Beckett and eventually a pirate gathering will occur and set Tia free (Calypso)! 😄

I assumed he was waiting to see if James would succeed and when word reached Beckett that James had failed and resigned, he got there as soon as he could. It would have taken awhile back then to gather ships and supplies.
