See...that's just it...it's so hard for us to come up with a W/E ending that is kick-ass....I'm with Chiki...BORING....sweet and pure love that survives through the battle and challengings...I feel myself gettng sick...pure and sweet love just turns into a friendship that after about 5 year of marriage..the marraige bed becomes simply platonic.....
You need passion, sparks, love, hate, fighting, friendship and sexisiness all wrapped up into one to be a deep and abiding love that lasts and the sex stays the same year in and year out.....that's what I see when I look at Jack and Elizabeth..
But alas, I get carried away..this is a movie for heaven's sake.....
A movie that has occupied my time for the past 8 months...gosh, I really need to get a life....and believe me I have plenty going on...but I always find time for this...and now I must go before I am late for work...bye, bye....
1. Why do they kiss?
Will and Elizabeth are in the midst of the battle...water is splashing on the deck...it's near the end...and I think Will has already done the proposal. This is a "goodbye" kiss just in case they don't make it. It doesn't appear to be very passionate...just bittersweet goodbye.
2. When does Will propose and how would it end up Elizabeth does not say yes?
Will proposes because he feels like he and Elizabeth have grown apart, the entire movie she has been trying to prove to him that she cares about him still, so out of honor and duty he proposes to her again..although he still believes she is in love with Jack, he just doesn't believe Jack will ever honor that love...
Elizabeth is distracted by what is going on between Jack and Davy and she tells Will she just can't give him an answer just yet, now' not the right time
Will is okay with that ...because he's not so sure he wants to marry Elizabeth anymore...she's changed...she killed a man...she's a Pirate Queen now...she's not the girl he thought she was...
3)Will ends up stabbing the heart. How and why?
The battle is raging...Will has been given a fatal blow..Jack and Elizabeth both notice it...Elizabeth looks to Jack, and Jack runs over and takes Will's hand and helps him to stab the heart so Will will have immortal life, thus sacrificing his own desire to acquire immortality..
4. Why does Elizabeth end up alone for a while, and what is she supposed to be watching over?
Elizabeth has grown tired of the Pirate's life...plus she finds out she is pregnant with Jack's Lovechild (which was conceived in a moment of weakness when they both thought they were going to die) She doesn't tell Jack cuz she doesn't want him to settle down with her just because of the child....She is watching over her child "bad, bad for every Mother's child what calls himself Pirate"...cuz even though the Pirates won this battle...the war is far from over..there are still those out there that have vowed to rid the world of all Pirates...
Jack and Gibbs have gone back to Tortuga...jack believes that Elizabeth is in love with Will and will waste her life away waiting for him to return every 10 years
5. What causes Jack to decide that yes, he wants Elizabeth even though she killed him and kissed Will again?
After 10 years of trying to forget Elizabeth in Tortuga...he can't seem to get her off of his mind....he knows that Elizabeth was a young girl who acted on a selfish impulse, that he himself was also responsible for...and although he believes that Elizabeth and Will are still in love..he just wants to go back and see them one more time...so he returns to the Island where he knows Will will come upon land (it's been 10 years)...as he arrives he sees Elizabeth...and she is shocked to see Jack...
she seems a little nervous...a young lad, who looks alot like Jack comes running up "Mummy" he calls and shows her some shells he collected...he looks to Jack and says "I know you, you are Jack Sparrow, my mum told me all about you. It's an honor to meet you"
Jack is speechless...a scene unfolds where Jack discovers that he has had a son for 10 years...tears falls from his eyes and Elizabeth cries to...she tells Jack why she kept it a secret...we don't realize it...but Will has been witnessing the whole scene...he releases Liz from any ties to him...and tells Jack that he must take responsiblity for his son and the mother of his child...Jack and Liz look at each other and finally admit their long denied feelings...bittersweet because they wasted 10 years of loving because of stubborn pride and denial...but kick-ass cuz Jack discovers that he has a child and he and Lizzie finally get together and Will is happy with his destiny of freeing poor lost souls from their watery graves...and that he is sailing with his father....

I think the four are Will, Lizzie, Barbossa and Tia..they are the four standing in the front..
Will tries to kill him in the sword fight..and he also tries to kill Jack in order to get the chest (on the island...."be my guest"...)
Barbossa leaves Jack stranded on an island with no food or water
I beleive Tia did something...she says "don't tell me you didn't like it"
and when Gibbs tells Jack "I'll watch your back"..."it's me front I'm worried about"
and of course, Lizzie...she chained him to the mast and left him to die...

Kenny, can you please go into more depth on "it's not gonna happen" and "its nonsense"? Because I respect your opinions, but would be delighted to hear the full logic behind them. Please could you explain WHY you hold these beliefs? And the argument "Elizabeth and Will are in love" has already been supplied by Surreal.

Kenny...since you are new here...I'll clue you in...we've touched on this Gibbs quote before....we see it as foreshadowing...do you think t and t just put that quote in there for no reason..
And if you read the leaked script....jack is seriously conisdering immortatlity and highly desiring to stab the heart....
and you know what....maybe. maybe we will be playing the tamborine and we and all my gals walk of the theatres...
you keep saying..not gonna happen, it's nonsense..and so forth..but where's your arguement, where's your proof....where's the symbolism in the movie that contradicts what we have been saying for 8 months on here.....

I hope all of you take this with a grain of salt...i'm just playing the question and answer game with Surreal...Mina, Kate and Savvy..nothing serious...just messing around...I most definetely do not believe that Jack and LIz are going to have a love child....
I'm going to go on a limb here and suggest that the "kick-ass" ending has absolutely nothing to do with shipping, and that it may just have to do with something fun Jack Sparrow decides to do.
That, or else, as I've suggested elswhere, Will comes to the island where Elizabeth is, the curse is broken, and the new captain of the Dutchman is revealed to be James. Having another character come back from the dead would be kick-ass. 😛
Honestly, I don't think a J/E ending is all that more exciting than a W/E ending, and is in fact a bit more dull considering how many times we see the girl go for the "bad boy" of the film. Will and Elizabeth's love can hardly be called perfect or ideal any longer, and it would have been won after a hard fought battle not only with outside forces, but within themselves as well.
Now, off to edit my J/E and W/E endings. 😄
Yep I agree with you Surreal a kick ass ending will not be about shipping . I can see the kick ass ending with Jack doing bungee jumping or parachuting. Yes and Will will be able to pass the Captaincy of the Dutchman to James. And it will be like a summer job. Will and Elizabeth will live hapilly evr after because they have luv eachother ever since kids. And if she ends up with Jack it will ruin the whole trilogy, the writers are not going to be so dumb and end AWE J//L. BTW Jack is like 30 yrs older than Liz and that will be yucky. Yep is W/E all the way, and they will have a baby and uncle Jack will come and visit them and he will bring the kid candy and cakes..awwww what a beautiful Disney ending..
I didn't realise the forced J/E wedding was actually a 'rumour' - I thought it was a theory, which is a very different thing. I rather love the idea, and from a shipping point of view, I like the idea of J/E. But I agree that the kick-ass ending is not going to be shipping-related.
Having said I like J/E, I do feel after the trailer that W/E is inevitable - I don't like it, but I believe this. I'm surprised how many Sparrabethers seem happy with that trailer - I wish I could have their faith. But logic dictates it is very pro-W/E. The little snippet between Jack and Elizabeth shows HIS feelings, that's certain, but I felt she had a very determined, straight look on her face. I think she really does prefer Will by now (if indeed she ever wavered).
