I proved that Kitty can be hurt by a strong enough electrical current while intangible. Magneto did it and Storm's electrical projections are much stronger than his.

That was one of Kitty's first missions, as you can tell by her costume. Perhaps she's just gotten stronger so electricity doesn't affect her anymore? Or maybe it never did? Not my place to say. She's only been hurt by it once. Every other time, no effect. Therefore, I think it's pretty obvious that electricity won't affect her.
