Well there you go. She manipulates the weather patterns with basically her own subtle brand of energy manipulation. Stupid Marvel bio could of saved me a lot of typing.

Which means she's not channeling the full energy of hurricanes and stuff like that.

Just in case you want to read it yourself:

No, I did not WRITE that.

She uses energy patterns to control the weather or specifically the enviroment, mainly.

She can venture into other things though.

Where do you get she harnesses the full power of a storm? It says she controls the weather patterns. Weather patterns that create storms, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc.

If she directly created a tornado herself it would mean she's harnessing the complete energy needed to create and sustain a tornado. That begs the question, why is she wasting it on a stupid tornado?

You never answered my question earlier. If she controls this much energy, why doesn't she wiz around like Silver Surfer or Magneto or a Green Lantern? Cutting out the "light show" weather effect would undoubtedly save a lot of power. Why waste it?

1.)The foces that go into creating weather phenomena are MUUUUUCH greather than the end result.

A Supercell is>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Than the Tornado that is spwaned from it.

Solar winds>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Than a Thunderstorm

Galactic Core>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Solar winds.

2.) blame the wrtiters😕

And to me, Storm>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>than Magneto but NOT Surfer.

Detailed Bathing suit>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Comb

That's just my opinion.

Then the possibility exists that she doesn't control the full energy of said effects, but rather manipulates the forces that do bring about their birth. And that the Galactic Core was a one off feat exactly the same way Dark Phoenix, who was intended to be at Storm's level, ate that sun. A feat that was also intended to be a one time deal.

Also, solar wind isn't that great. I mean, it's friggen hot and is chock full of radiations but meh. It gets cast aside by the magnetosphere doesn't it? And that's not even that strong and it can manipulate its course. Wow, that kind of proves my point.

And to me, Storm>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>than Magneto but NOT Surfer.

Maybe where you come from, a black bikini is detailed.

You should look at that comb again. It's a nice comb. It's got some kind of decoration on it and everything.

And he's not winded or anything.

Oh man, I love how silly this part of the discussion is. "That's a nice comb!" Hahahaha.

^ These straws were made for grasping, and that's just what you'll do.😆

You're entitled to your opinion I guess.

And she kills kitty with MINIMAL effort, if any at all 10/10

Ok, to "settle" it. I jsut posted a question on yahoo answers in the science, mathematics and physics section and asked them does Storm's powers work via quantum mechanics.

I'll see what they say, if they say anything. 😉

Seriously are you completely out of your skull?

If you ask them like that they're going to make a connection between Storm and quantum mechanics. You just asked them for a pseudo-scientifically valid reason to back you up.

She can do this though and she has.

She's filtering it through herself like a garden hose. Not taking it all in at once.

You people😆

Complete obtuseness.

This blizzard argument is eerily similar to the galactic core argument--"oh, she's not harnessing the full power"

😆

Haha, that's exactly what I was thinking.

Minus the blizzard part. The galactic core thing explicitly stated she was harnessing the full core. My mistake.

On this panel it states "gently at first", meaning it is a process. The absorption later wasn't gentle. If she absorbed the whole thing in one shot there would be no "at first" because there would be no second part for their to be a first to.

Then "she draws it into her, channeling it through her body, into the upper atmosphere". These two are occuring at the same time. She is absorbing the blizzard and channeling it upwards simultaneously. If she absorbed the full storm into herself first and then channeled it elsewhere, it would of said just that - THEN channeled.

She still drew the WHOLE thing into herself.

The "gently" was her drawing it into herself(Th WHOLE THING)That's the way she works the weather--gently--not roughshod.

It was a two-fold process because it was gentle ABSORBTION and THEN Diffusion, NOT a two-fold process of absortion.

She gently absorbed the WHOLE THING, then diffused the core.

Notice, she controls it by energy, not matter. 😊

Actually it was a three-fold process--Becoming one with the tempest, absorbing it gently, then diffusion of the core.

You're not grasping this. The absorption was gentle at first. At some point in the beginning of the absorption process, it was gentle. Because later.. eunno, she put more gusto into it? The point is it got progressively less gentle.

The fact is the word "then" only appears once on the entire page and it was in between her honing in on the storm, or became one with it, THEN drawing it into herself while channeling it upward. It clearly states those two actions are occurring at the same time. Yes, the whole thing went through her, over time, as she dissipated the entire thing upward. But it was not all at once.

Edit: Son of a... it says right on the page "She finishes a little before dawn..." It's night in the first three panels and the sun is coming up in the 4th. I always miss those kinds of things.

It reads "And then, gently at first, she DRAWS IT INTO HER, Channeling it through her body, into the upper atmosphere"

It doesn't say "And then, gently at first, She DRAWS IT BIT BY BIT INTO HERSELF, she CHANNELS IT PARTIALLY through her body, into the upper atmosphere".

You're trying to make the "drawing it into herslef" a gradual, bit by bit process. It WAS NOT.

You're assuming that the drawing and channeling process took her all the way till dawn, therefore it MUST have been bit by bit.

It was the ENTIRE three-fold process that took time, not just the channeling.--becoming one with it, drawing and channeling, then difussion--Threefold

If you notice it is in three different caption balloons as well. The drawing and channeling is in th SAME one together.

The scan gave no indication of the AMOUNT of the storm she was drawing and channeling into herself. It just said she absorded it(drew it into herself).

Infact, before any channeling or drawing happend, she become ONE with the ENTIRE THING. That right there should give you some indication.

Given what we know, she was channeling, drawing, and diffusing power equivalent to several Hydrogen Bombs. That takes time, power, and concentration , especially for someone like Storm who, once again, doesn't run roughshod over the elements she controls.

That's why she did it "gently at first".

Is English your second language? Or do you just not read books? It does not say bit by bit because that would be terrible writing. It would make it look like the writer thinks the readers are idiots who need the dynamics torn apart so it can be spelled out for them.

For as brilliant as you think that nonsense is, goes the opposite way. It does not state she absorbs the entire storm before sending it into the upper atmosphere.

Honestly... Are you that dense? The two actions are in the same box just further proves that they are occurring at the same time. It describes her working exactly like a funnel. Combined with the the fact that both sections are written in present tense means they are both occurring simultaneously.

The scan gave no indication of the AMOUNT of the storm she was drawing and channeling into herself. It just said she absorded it(drew it into herself).

This is true. There's no way of telling what rate she was processing the system's energy.

Infact, before any channeling or drawing happend, she become ONE with the ENTIRE THING. That right there should give you some indication.

I never thought I'd have to explain this kind of stuff... That's an expression, like putting your blood, sweat, and tears into something. It describes her ability to completely immerse her focus into the storm and mentally feel out every aspect of it. If she was literally connected to it like an extension of her body she could of just shut it down right there without needing to pipe it through her body.

When a team has really great teamwork they "play as one", with variations depending on the local dialect.

I think you water skied over what I was talking about on this part. But all that scan proves is she can't control the total energy of a storm all at once. At least not that one.

🙄

She did control it all AT ONCE.

You agreed and said it gave NO INDICATION as to the amount of the storm she absorbed.

It read, "she drew it into herself" nothing more, nothing LESS.

"It" represents the totality of a thing unless it was written with the nouns "part" or "portion" of "it"

She drew "it" into herself, not a part or portion.

I did not agree that she was channeling it all at once. I said there is no indication of the rate she was funneling the energy, because there was a rate.

And you can't just ignore the rest of the sentence like that just to mold it into what you please. She drew it into her. She channeled it. All in one sentence. At the same time. As she was pulling the energy in she was sending it elsewhere.

You're almost grasping basic English on that one. It refers to the the entire storm, because she does eventually process the entire core throughout the night. Not just part of it. But she drew it. The word draw in of itself is a process. To draw a crowd is to gradually pull in people. To draw a bath is to gradually fill a bathtub. To draw a glass of tea is to gradually fill a glass with tea. There is a rate in which she draws the energy into herself and a rate in which she simultaneously expels it into the upper atmosphere. There's no telling what the rate is but it was as such that it took her an undefined portion of the night, going just by the one scan.
