Brubaker confirmed that it was not a clone or a skrull and that Cap's real body was the one buried in Antarctica.

He also confirmed that Captain America is now separated from the rest of the MU, which means that Secret War will NOT interfere with Captain America.

Well Steve is indeed making a return soon, but more of a loophole as it involves time-travel and the Mighty Avengers 😖hifty:

I think that it's the real Steve Rogers and he is dead but somehow the Red Skull will use his body (Not in a perverse way ❌ ) to attack Bucky. this will be cool as Bucky will be forced to fight a brain dead hero wearing the body of his best friend ✅

It already been state that the body in the suspended animation aint our boy Steve. Im still curious to see who or what it is.
