Wouldn't mind a new show, but have mixed feelings about a retro-styled one. I thinking they should just leave the bright colors and cheesiness back in the Shatner era.

I agree, they should..

Also hopefully this possible show should be written good

I figured as much.

I cannot wait to see this in a few weeks

Here are a few stats about the movie:

- Top active site with most emotions invested in the movie is
startrekmovie.com
- Star trek gets a high share of all conversations about movies but the
overall volume of conversation has dropped since last period. The share of
positive discussions is pretty high.
- people across blogs, review sites and message boards are overwhelmingly
expecting a great or excellent movie
- Conversations about the story are increasing, but the sentiment is
Decreasing - less positive than before!
- Both volume of conversation and sentiments about emotions invoked are
increasing
- The overall ratings by unaided social media is lower than pure aggregated
user votes yahoo, rotten tomatoes, IMDB and others.

J.J. talking possible Trek sequel and his involvement..

Some wee is escaping this close to release.
I pray that the containment fields hold up.

Need to recrystalize the Dilithium in me pants.

Likewise, I fear that I may build myself up too much and be disappointing when the movie isn't all that.

Hehehehehee Set shields for "Awesome".

I admit I have high expectations of JJ Abrams/Damon Lindelhof here.

The fact that Orci and Kurtzman did the writing for Bay's Transformers is what worries me..

I hope they are better Trekkies than TF fans.

I'm definitely excited about the movie and already have tickets for the first showing.🙂

Hehehee Good for you.

I will hit the local later night/midnight showing maybe.

Its gonna be Rated 12a and I wanna avoid the sorts of noisey idiots that tend to bugger up showings earlier in the day...

At least with a late night showing, the audience should be the more hardcore fans, in theory.

This is true, most fun I had in a theater was a late night showing of Army of Darkness, just about every movie-goer in there was a die-hard Evil Dead fan.

Oh Dude...!

That sounds the t*ts...!

Unbeatable atmosphere, I bet.

There's always an uberfish

3 more days 😄 *excited*
*looks at her watch* ohh .. almost exactly 3 more days until I get to see it .. *even more excited*

Except for the part where young Kirk says, "My name is James Siberius Kirk." 😬

He says "Siberius"?!! Hahaha
