heh.you're getting good at clouding the issue, nj. WHAT is being used to assimilate the data doesn't matter -- power, body, mind -- it is utterly irrelevant and no one has made any distinction in regards to what is actually DOING the absorbing. not sure why you brought it up. i initially said it was my BODY because you continued to say it was my 'mind' that was being given 'special consideration'. that was patently untrue. actually, it is a combination of BOTH (body AND mind), and that is only feasible because of indy's POWERS. if they naturally worked together to amp to uber levels, there wouldn't be any problem. my guy DOES amp to high levels -- he just does it one match at a time. it requires all THREE of my characters to absorb SKILLS (not POWERS). BK can do EXACTLY the same thing in this tournament WITHOUT any parts of his amalgam. THAT is why it is single character amping which is also illegal. of course, you're also absorbing POWERS (or believe you are able to do so based on your . . . 'evidence'😉 which is also illegal.
i've refrained from comment for the most part, because i'm perfectly content to let the judges decide, and perfectly willing to abide by whatever they say. you however, keep harping on it. 😬
You have an absorbing ability that has been banned for everything else. Why is that you can have it when no other form of it is allowed. Just because it involves mind attributes doesn't change anything. It still absorbs. You try to say Assimilate but it doesn't change the fact that it does absorb. That has been problem from the get go. It doesn't matter how small or big it still does it.
What if I said that BK only takes the soul to get a little bit stronger but doesn't actually take the powers. Would it still be allowed even though it still only grants him minute advantages no it wouldn't.
And I never said your mind was being given special advantages I said the Mind category as a whole was being given special advantages no other category was allowed. That you can absorb the mind's of people but not their bodies or powers.
And just for the last part you once again understand there is no actual single character amping limit. Oh there is a limit on self amping but nothing on one character using the abilities from another character amp themselves.
Here are the best examples I could think of
Hulk: Can self amp without outside help from other characters. He therefore can self amp past the Ironman limit.
Ironman though if he absorbs enough energy from other people can go past the Ironman limit on his own amping abilities but he requires other people's abilities. BK does the samething.
NOw back to the topic I was never really defending my ability you are right it is illegal by the rules. But all permanent mind, body, and power absorbing needs to be banned or it needs to be allowed for everyone.
That includes Skills, Memeroies, and Knowledge. 😬

Meh, ok. I'm staying out of this tourney's mid-match controversy for the most part. I've been in the center of way too many up until this point. But I'm sure something resembling my brilliant analysis of the matter is floating around in the previous pages.
Anyway, I hope it works out for you newjak...the experience assimilation that is. Powers I've always been against, simply because of the Extremis cap for a single character (otherwise I'd be ok with that too).

you are equating skills and powers.

2 judges are equating skills and powers.
3 are not.

you claim i get access to all of the feats from whomever i assimilate. therefore, by your reasoning, if i assimilated iron fist, i would be able to summon the IRON FIST AND have access to all the scans of him using the fist. of course, your claim is dead wrong and you should have been able to figure WHY it has ALWAYS been wrong from the start. the reason you're wrong is because if i DID use a scan of IF using his fist, then say i am doing the same thing . . . THAT WOULD BE POWER COPYING AND ILLEGAL!

I'm not equating skill and power. In fact I see no basic problem with what you propose withing the current rules. However I would very much prefer to have a generalized rule about taking anything from one's opponent. And if there was to be one I would support against it since it is unreasonable to be able to take certain things but not others.
I don't have a problem with learning from ypur opponent but I do have a problem with digging myself into a hole.
If things like this are allowed then it's liable to create problems later in the tornament.
My ruling is proactive not reactive 😬
