KMC Comic Book Tiers

If we're tiering heros, it has to (At least partially) be about who can beat who.

I mean, so long as it isn't a plot-device type thing- right? Batman may be able to take down someone like Wolverine with a sonic device, for example, but Wolverine's still more powerful.

Anyways I will compromise with this though. Even though I agree with Soljer I would rather see people bumped down then having all this argument for other people being bumped up.

Even though there will always be a best in each group that sits on the fences.

Plus I would like to reiterate as far as I know this isn't a list based of off who can beat who it is a list of power levels not powersets. 😛

By power lvls, Orion is STill more powerful than Surfer and Superman. His Astro force trumps their power lvls. His latest few appearances that people are using to put him in a lower catagory are WITHOUT the use of the astroforce. That would be like us judging Superman solely on use of His strength. Or Thor Solely on the use of Lightning. If this is by power lvl, Then the list is still not right. Infinity Man is trans. IF this is about power output, then more villians would be in the elite. The only reason some villians lose is for the sake of story. but thier power output is just as good as the Top Heroes. Case in point, Sinestro, and even the heroe martian manhunter. Who manages to live for thousands of years and stalemates DS. I even seem to remember Gladiator Being able to move planets. So power output can't be what this list is about.

Uhhh....the list hasn't been bumped since page five. It's currently page seven.

And I view threads at fourty replies per page, that means for the normal viewer, the list hasn't been bumped in, what, four pages?

Never mind, the only bump on page five was the 'unofficial' bump with the elite addition. It hasn't been bumped since page four.

That list has Sentry and Void on it. I'm not even sure what we decided on in regards to that.

It's still the most up-to-date list. If the consensus is to move the sentry and the void down, we can do so. But until we decide to, that one is still the most accurate, is it not?

Don't hurt me, Soljer. 🙁

weren't the votes even? meh, i still think it'd be kinda screwy to have sentry below somebody he stalemated and on the same level as somebody he annihilated. it's a minor gamble, considering his short character history, but i think if joe q, BMB, and paul jenkins (two bigass marvel players and the creator) had a say, sentry would be right by surfer.

😕

I'm innocent! I meant to imply no intonation of anger or anything of the sort.

😍

Maybe Take each Tier piece by piece and look at it from that stand point. Instead of looking at the bigger picture. It only serves to confuse and have people wondering like why is Adam Worlock above Orion? Or why is Superman above Quasar. Niether make sense to me. So just do each bracket of each tier seperate and make guidelines as to what has to be able to accomplish to get in that catagory.

Maybe the best solution is to move Sentry back to middle, and Terrax to low.

After all, him stalemating genis would be the only showing that would justify his high placement...

And, hell, Jonn Jonnz has stalemated the entire JLA, has he not? We go by the AVERAGE, rather than the VERY BEST, right?

Till Sentry comes and stalemates Thor, or shit stomps World War Hulk, I think he can go back to middle. Consider my vote changed.

Sentry average showings are pretty high considering he has no low showings to begin with..
and he also stailmated Galactus 😖hifty:
at any case ill leave him on high herald.

remember to consider the void's two high showings, breaking hulk and taking on that prepped mega-team (and whooping ass), cuz sentry=void.

He may have no low showings, but that hardly matters.

I mean, you could have a street leveller with nothing but high showings, but he's still a street leveller, you know what I mean?

Same with Sentry. For all his high showings, I don't think he's managed anything that justifies his ABSOLUTE stature as a high-herald.

Honestly? I think the writers intend to put him there. I think he's written to be there, but thus far? He hasn't faced a threat big enough to be placed alongside Superman and the Silver Surfer. Like I said, when he beats/stalemates Thor, or stomps on the Hulk? Then he'll be high-herald. Till then? For all his high showings...none are quite high enough.

1) How much immediate damage can this character do?
2) How much firepower would it take to stop this character?

Does the above help at all?

Yo Nvr,

Do you know in which issue(s) Ares (the DC God of War), has used the Godwave?

I don't follow WW, so I have no clue.

I don't know the issues, but the scans of it are in the Darkseid and Takion respect threads.

i'm gonna go with mano on this one and say sentry's done enough to be high top. based on showings so far he deserves it. i can see some newb coming on who knows nothing about terrax or sentry and making that thread and people saying -- 🤨 sentry already wtfpwn'd terrax!

and val -- i don't see what the big deal is about adding another tier or 2 . . . 😄
