Facts or research that you have not personally conducted or arrived at through the scientific method (this includes anything that you have read regardless if it is peer-reviewed or not).
So if you didn’t translate the Bible from its original language to the KJV then it would be faith that it was done right? Since you didn’t interview Jesus is it faith that he didn’t lie and that he was nuts?
So with your tire track example it is not deductive reasoning that you are using but faith because you didn’t test the tire tracks to make sure they were authentic and not a reproduction or a naturally occurring event? So you have faith that the Earth revolves around the Sun? You have faith that if you jump off a building you will fall? You have faith that if you drink Draino that you will die? So when you mail something to someone you have faith that it is not all being sent to some guy in his basement? You have faith that airplanes can fly?

😆 You couldn't learn calculus; you would have to invent it.

But that is the same rationale (somewhat) that you use towards me. Case in point: did you read the link that I posted explaining the First and Second Laws of Thermodynamics? It refutes evolutionary theory and other long-held beliefs regarding God's non-existence. Let me put you to the test to see if you read this or not (this is my acid test).

My point precisely. I posted this link,
http://www.blueletterbible.org/faq/nbi/612.html
but you refused to read it because the article was written by a believer. You make it seem as though believers are not represented in every sector of society (but they are). Just as there are atheist scientists, doctors, plumbers, and attorneys, there are perhaps just as many believers in those occupations. But you wouldn't read the link just because the author is a believer. I don't see what the problem is as long as his facts are scientific (which they are). What are you afraid of, the Truth?

And the difference in when we post links is, you discount them and ignore them as well.OH wait that is the same.
So what is the difference again in your posting links to research that you haven't done personally and others posting links?
What about my other questions, or are you going to ingnore those as well? 😖
I intend to asnswer them soon.
Originally posted by JesusIsAliveWhat does your link have to do with anything that I just said????????????????? I have read this link the first time you posted it and this is supposed to prove what? I see no science in this only speculations (bad at that), do they have anything to back up any thing they say and the answer is no. Is there any math to prove that the formulas are wrong, the answer is no. Again you are using “Bible” related science to back up you claims, don’t you think they are going to be a bit bias? How about one that is independent but you are trying to dodge the questions that I purposed to you because you don’t want to stay on topic.

OK, so have you done any research on thermodynamics, done your own tests and your own experiments? So you have faith that what this guy says is correct? Have you talked to the writer of this article, researched his past articles and his personal bio? Have you tested the website and its server to see if they are real and not some AI program? How is it that you want to use science to explain every thing that it points to God but when the same science doesn’t you refute it and say that you must have done the research and experiments yourself? Why don’t you give us some of your own personal research and what are your personal qualifications to make these claims? What is your education, where did you grow up? If I am to take anything that you say to be factual I must know the author of the information and do my researches into the provider of the knowledge for it not to be “faith” as you claim. So if you want to provide me with the “truth” then provided me with the proper information to research into your life.
As often as many people refer to science in these debates, it is perhaps not the best idea to assume the rationale for atheism is based soley on factual scientific evidence. While I wouldn't say that atheism or non-deist perspectives come wholly from reading a scientific journal. The idea that the grounds for theism based on observation, experience and answered prayers absolutely boggles the mind when the same standards are applied to atheists who have experinced the same things in life. A person of religious faith sees an outcome and attributes it to the very human reaction/desire of hoping for the best. An atheist also hopes for the best and doesn't claim divine favor based on the outcome of the situation. Some people survive cancer, others do not. But everyone hopes they do.

You will discount it simply because of your bias (can't you see the double-standard?)
Originally posted by JesusIsAliveWhy do you keep going off the topic I’m talking about? I’m not trying to prove that I’m right as you are because I don’t have the answer as you say you do. There is nothing in the article to support their views to disprove thermodynamics support creationism only their opinions with unsupported claims. Now stop trying to go off the topic and answer my questions to your previous statement.

I will repost it for you again.
