I don't recall stating that God could do anything.

God rested but not in the sense that we understand that word to mean. The Bible states that God neither slumber nor sleeps.

God is all-powerful because there is no limit as such to His ability. But, God is under moral constraints because of Who is intrinsically. For example, God is holy so by default He cannot sin. God is Truth so by default He cannot lie. God is good so by default He cannot be evil.

So if “God Rested” is not the correct term for what he did then why would the writers of the Bible or God write that? As a side note rest doesn’t mean sleeping, so it is not the sense that we understand. 😉

God by default is all things and this would include evil, deception and credulity for is he not the creator of all. How can he be so pure, good and holy and can create something that is so capability of being evil and cruel beyond all levels of understanding?

God by default is an Atheist, he has no power over him and can make up his own rules and morals. Who would tell God no? As you have said on numerous occasions that God is not subject to the laws or morality of man so who says that God can not lie and still be “holy” after all God wrote the rules to apply to man not himself.

Power-wise God is without limit. But God is bound by His own intrinsic nature (i.e. holiness, righteousness, goodness, love etc.)

God cannot be Truth and lie because this is a contradiction of terms. Hence, God is not all things.

God created humans with a free will to choose good or evil. Humans have chosen to commit evil. It is as simple as that. God is not to blame for our actions. If God had created us with only the ability to do good then there would be no evil, but we would be like automatons that can only do what we are programmed to do.

Perhaps a decision has more value if there are other alternatives.

God has no religious persuasion that is a contradiction of terms. He is God (the worshipped) not the worshipper.

All things in the Bible cannot be understood at face value. There are many instances where passages of Scripture must be interpreted in light of what the entire Bible has to say on the subject, not just one word or one verse. It is only after gathering all of the information that is available that one can examine them and rightly divide the Word of Truth to get and comprehend the whole subject matter. So, based on everything that the Bible states about God it is easy to see that from a power standpoint God is without limit. But morally God is still bound by His nature (which is righteous, holy, good, love etc.) that He cannot be otherwise. This has nothing at all to do with His power. Just look around at this marvelous universe and you can get an idea of how powerful God is.

You have said that God can not lie not that he will not lie, by your statement that means that God doesn’t have free will. God created all things which mean that he created evil as well as good.

Your faith uses the argument all the time against Atheist that if you are not accountable for your actions by someone of a higher power then why do you have to be moral, God has no one to be accountable to so why would he be moral?

Just as a side note God did create evil “the tree of the knowledge of good and evil”
