I have read, and my question is why how can they truly BE the SAME if one is a SON and the other is a FATHER. One was a human born from a human, the other is a prescence or whatever IT is so how can they be the same. Just because they say they are the same doesn't make a good arguement.

I don't subscribe to those claims either, but Christianity holds them to be true based on faith.

I was merely expressing my disagreement with the that scripture. It wasn't a personal attack. I'm sorry if that's how it came out. You are right, the Christians do hold it true. I was just wondering if I could get a more credible answer than just faith.

Everything is not recorded in the Bible. But God (YHWH) did provide humanity with all the revelation that we need to in order to do His will and to be overcomers in this life.
I believe that the spirit that appeared to Muhammad in the cave was the devil. The spirit squeezed him repeatedly (at times to the point of death). Some say that the spirit was the angel Gabriel. Read what the Bible says about Gabriel and you will discover that there is no record of him ever squeezing anyone, so I conclude that it was the devil. Apparently it was this evil spirit that provided the material for the Qur'an.

Simple: They are not the same. Now, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are the same in terms of nature but not in terms of personhood. They are each separate individuals (or Persons) but they consist of the same divine nature (or essence). For example, there exists an angelic nature, a human nature, and an animal nature. All angels are angelic in essence or nature. All humans are of the same nature or essence. And all animals are animals in nature. But God is neither an angel, human, or animal because He is divine (i.e. of a totally different substance or essence) than the three categories of life listed (although not exhaustively). The God society or community is comprised of just three Persons: the Father (YHWH), Son (Jesus the Christ), and Holy Spirit; and these three are one (i.e. one in terms of Their divine nature). Socool8520, you, me, and everyone on this forum are one.

We are not one person but we are one in terms of our human nature. We have something in common and it is our human nature. If we were all divine then we would be one God just like the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. But we are not divine.
