Eternal life is yours for the taking, just ask Jesus the Christ to give it to you and you be glad you did.

i though it had something to do with the rotation of the planet and the sun and other astronomical facts....

apparently before jesus was around it was the ice age since he was responsible for the weather and seasons.. hmm.. you think he overpowered the old thunder god for mastery of the weather in a epic raknorak battle.

jesus was around it was the ice age

But the earth is only 6000 years old.

😐

hmm.. quiet the conundrum

But god made the Earth to look like it was billions of years old. Why would a god trick us that way. In a way, he lied to us.

No science lied to us. God sent Bible thumping wackos to tell us the truth.

doesnt the bible say the firmament is made of clay brass and some iron metal....in the tower of babel story it must be true

But, but, but the BIBLE says that the Earth is only 6000 years old. If 'we' compromise on this one fact (that is largely irrelevant to the teachings of Christianity as a whole) 'our' whole religion might be wrong!

(Oh no!)

No, in the Babel story they say "lets find out what the firmament is made of, maybe it's brass, clay or iron." God knocks the tower over before they get that far. Job, however mentions that the vault of the skies is "as hard as a mirror" or some such.

either way it is scientifically impossible for any of those description assuming they saw it and tried to pierce it

What basis do you have for that claim?

i sure as hell havent seen clay or any such thing when i look into a telescope.. just empty space with no barrier of some such

I could have been painted.

what?

what?

If there's a being with enough power to cover the planet with a clay sphere why couldn't he paint it?

well seeing that it might smear the paint job on space shuttles and what not when it flies through...

A better proof would be that meteors are able to reach the surface of the earth and that the Sun's energy reaches the earth as well.

I'm trying to avoid the obvious one that we have satellites and have sent humans into space. (without hitting a 'clay' barrier of any kind.)

Well, obviously, science has lied about that too. There is no rockets or shuttles or space stations up there. 😎
