Can you handle the Truth?

yes, it is eternal, seeing as time is a function of the universe and not the other way around.

How could the universe (which is expanding and implies a starting point) be eternal?

because it expanse from the initial explosion and then contracts back into itself and guess what happens afterwards.

it an over simplification but the point is there

Yeah, and all this is extremely theoretical.

because time began at that starting point, and eternal refers to time. IF it ever started and hasnt forever been expanding and contracting, never quite getting both right due to quantum phenomenon, like a wave on a guitar string.

but jia, come on, ive seen you here for YEARS now, and all these queries of yours have been thoroughly explained to you again and again and your arguments rebutted more times than i can count. why do u still like to refresh the same stuff over and over again?

true.... i just made an edit when you posted.. but remember if science cant proof it or is not capable of observing it then the logical explaination is god did it.

even though science has time and again refutted the bible example the firmament!!

Because the question " what happened before the big bang?" can be asked. 😛 😂

The universe is not eternal because it is expanding. Expansion implies time and time has a beginning. If God did not do it then who or what did? What initiated the beginning of matter, energy, time, and space?

How does time have a beginning? 😖

Darwin had no idea how sophisticated the cell was. It is likened to a factory albeit on a nano level (which is even more amazing). Factories don't construct themselves.
You really need to look into nano technology then.

So is the universe eternal?

Possible, as one theory of the "Big Bang" is it happened when a previous universe contracted (or expanded) into itself and created our present universe. So it could very well be eternal, but it can/does change.

what initiated the beginning of time and matter and energy and space as we see it in our universe? a good explanations in quantum strings at a subatomic level coming close enough to each other to "mix" in another universe in the multiverse, they imploded and with their specific makeup gave birth to the dimensions we call space and time {and their properties} a well as energy and matter and their properties. this process, according to parts of string theory happens all the time in our universe too, where all existance is composed of these strings. read string theory.

factories dont construct themselves?funny then how you grew and developed from a single sperm into the multi billions celled higher functioninging{supposedly} man that you are today.

That is my favorite theory. 😄

As to factories constructing themselves

A lot of the oldest and most conserved mechanical parts of cells are nucleic acids. Looking at Ribosomes, they are mostly constructed of nucleic acids, not proteins, even though they function as most proteins do. I forget the name of the guy, but he has some cool research on these ribozymes and hypothesizes since these guys are pretty simplistic, self constructing, information containing and mechanically functional are a prime candidate for what emerged as "life."

As to JIA and Darwin's factory comment. We've learned a lot since Darwin and natural selection has drastically evolved since his time. Despite his misconceptions about his own theories, that his ideas have stood so long is a great testament to his genius.

Its also untested and conceivably an over-popularized load of crap lol.

So the present universe and all preceding and subsequent universes are an eternal cycle of expansion and contraction?

But I believe that I am a product of God's creative power and the inexorable laws that He has set in motion (i.e. the law that everything produces according to its kind biologically).

Where did the subatomic particles come from?

A. You belive in point of fact.

B. There is no such "law." Plants can crossbreed with each other like mad and do so naturally. "Kind" consistantly changes.

A plant by any other name remains confined within the plant kind. In other words, a plant can never become a giraffe, and a Bear can never become an orange seed. So everything produces according to its kind. Plants produce other plants, animals produce other animals, humans produce other humans, insects produce other insects--all according to their kind just like the Bible reveals.

Has evolution taken the place of homosexuality in becoming the only issue we talk about in this forum?
