My argument is that there IS NO "pt sux" crowd, other than on chat-rooms.

The public saw the films multiple times, critics rated them average to awesome... the only place you here that the PT was crap is.... on-line.

And even then most people don't subscribe to it, as the online crowd here shows.

It's just some SW fans who didn't get a PT that they wanted that say: "PT sux."

Regular joes say: "It was ok." or "It was pretty good." or "It was awesome!"

It's already reached $630m

Domestic Total as of May. 14, 2007: $243,829,653

http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=spiderman3.htm

I was saying domestically, in the U.S.

And I was right, spiderman 3 is at 240 mil (243, but you get the point)

And all the PT was over 300 mil, with Aotc at 310 mil, Rots at 380 mil and TPM at 431 mil.

There isn't a "PT sucks" crowd outside of the internet forums, no, that's a given. What there is outside of the old internet forums is people that really aren't that interested in the Star Wars prequels, and no, they weren't that disappointed, because they don't care that much about Star Wars.

From my experience, it's pretty obvious that the PT was not the phenomenom of it's predecessor's. Even my long term gf who feels utterly indifferent towards the franchise felt the PT lacked the magic.

if there is a direct relevance between ticket sales and movie quality, then the PT would have sold significantly less tickets than the OT.
only slightly above 35% surveyed here liked it as much as the OT.
deal with that.

thats precisely why i structured the survey like this. to answer just that question. in come the kneejerk reactions of how we're just "hating". like we lack the comprehension skills to form an educated opinion/critique on a frikin movie.

i purposely made this thread positively biased and its still the same story. but of course with that positive bias comes the double edge stated.

:edit: your theory on econimics/cinematography would also rank empire strikes back at dead last

A true star wars fan would not accept these prequal star wars movies. They are a disgrace to the star wars film series. 😘

fail

Indeed.

quite so

I concur

here here

Unanimity... a scary thing.

very scary

Yeah... better get some people to say no.

indeed we had better

Well, we shot most of them. So where do we get new ones?

can we grow some?

Hmm... never thought of that.

apparently not

Is it worthwhile, I wonder.

is it even possible?

We can clone them perhaps?

We have ample clones to use.
