Forces you to rely more on support and fusions, since most of the heroes are weak by themselves. Evil Heroes & Neo Spacians can just add insult to injury at times as well.

Crappier way to lose.

Yea, that's it's name I keep forgetting. It sucks combined with Hero City.

Somewhat.

You do realize, it is was meant to be children's/adoloscent card game?
Riding while dueling, while somewhat stupid, seems a lot better than dueling to stop someone with enough power to destroy the universe.

Hero city? What does that do?

It's a field card. Skycraper 2 - Hero City. Brings one Elemental Hero destroyed back from the grave.

Except for the fact the said card game had originated as something that had the power to destroy the entire universe, and yada yada... If it were just any regular card game, then I'd agree that dueling to stop someone powerful enough to destroy the universe would be a dumber idea than dueling while riding, but this isn't the case. IMO anyway.

Ahh, the one Chumley designed in the anime to help Jaden take down the Ra copy. Pity the God cards never made an actual appearance, they were awesome.

Originally it was that yes, but Pegasus' version didn't have the power to do so, or at least not the same level of power. They also used Millennium Items. Plus, they used actual monsters.
(I'm also referring to Judai's instances, where he would use no such items)

Even if Judai had some sort of power given to him by the Neo Spacians, again, why would the villain even agree to duel against him? Saiou had both keys iirc.
Huge instance of PIS.

Wow that seems kinda cheating. designing a card specifically to help somebody beat somebody else.

Eh I've never been fond of the God Cards. Or the Sacred Beast or whatever Hamon, and them are called.

Unless they're in the shadow realm, which Yami Marik did in all his duels, for example. The monsters become real there if I recall correctly.

Indeed..

I can kinda understand the 2nd part, but the God Cards? How can you love the series and not be fond of them? 😱 I guess 'cause they were overpowered? Well, it wasn't necessarily because of how powerful they were that I liked 'em so much. They were just epic monsters. Never could decide which one I liked best out of the three though. mmm Appearance-wise and what not, I suppose Slifer, but I don't quite like how he works in the card game compared to the other two. meh

Epic nostalgia moments.

lol Not sure why I don't like the God Cards. Might be not liking dragons for Ra and Slifer...not that Ra is a dragon. Looks more like a bird. Cards I liked in the show though were usually weak and/or rarely shown like Kuriboh, Catapult Turtle, and Flame Swordsman. That and any card in Mai's deck which may explain why I like Mai. Or vice versa lol.

Oh, like the Harpey Ladies? They were pretty cool I'll admit, as were the others you mentioned.

Yeah, I guess I see what ya mean about the Gods now.
Heh. Not only is Ra more like a bird, but also has that 'phoenix mode', so it can't really be a dragon at all... like Slifer. Speaking of which, I thought the 2 mouths thing on him was kind of a unique idea.

And Obelisk? 🤨

Harpies, Amazons, mirror wall. Just about any card Mai used I liked.

Yea always been confused with the whole Winged Dragon thing of Ra. Though yea the two mouths on Slifer is neat but I've never liked dragons of any kind except Shenron but that was more the cool voice.

Obelisk..no idea. Its always reminded me of Summoned Skull though.

Ah, me too. 😛 That reminds me, I didn't like how Yugi stopped using Summoned Skull after the 1st season or so. Kind of missed seeing it after that.

And I like Mirror Wall too, definitely. One of my most preferred cards. Mirror Force probably puts it to shame though.

lolz I have a dragon fettish, but it's cool. 😛 Figured you liked Shenron at least since you're into Dragon Ball/Z as well and all.
Since you said you liked any card from Mai's deck, I guess that includes Harpey's Pet Dragon too? 131 😛
Seriously though, don't like that monster myself. I guess the idea of creatures like dragons being mere "pets" makes them less badass and not as appealing to me. *shrug*

Deus ex Machina like isn't it. Sabatiel during the first season was another Deus-ex Machina card. I respect Yubel for being a duelist that never lost, or never could have lost to Judai/Jaden.

Sacred Beasts are alright, Raviel is my favorite, easiest to summon if you don't take into account the Jewel Beasts.

But the god cards? Damn man, those cards were awesome. I remember the time Kaiba summoned Obelisk against Yugi/Yami...pure awesome, even Slifer's summon by Yami against Bakura was awesome.

Though they never should have called Ra a Dragon, imo he seemed better off as a Phoenix.

Don't really remember whether the monsters became real or not. The damage was, so they most likely were.
Though in all fairness, I was referring to Judai's/Jaden's duels to save the universe.
iirc, Yami/Yugi never dueled for the fate of the universe. World maybe, but no antagonist in Yu-Gi-Oh! came close to wielding the power that Saiou did...I may be wrong, but Saiou or specifically the Light of Destruction was crazy powerful.

No sarcasm right 😛?

Ra in Phoenix form has the best design imo. If you compare the god cards to the sacred beasts, the sacred beasts have much more detail, and a much more varied palette, Obelisk is like one shade of blue mostly.

Slifer should also not have had that top mouth, removed 2000 atk/def iirc, overpowered 😛, and also the bottom mouth looks much more imposing.

I know about the removed 2000 atk/def thing. Just sayin'.

Yeah. The Sacred Beasts were more detailed in some ways I'll admit, but there was something about the God monsters I liked better for some reason. Never could put my finger on it. They're all cool though, except for Obelisk having mostly just one shade of blue as you said, but he did look a bit cooler when fused with the Orichalcos in that one duel.

Lol I never realized he did that. Shows how much I paid attention to the duels.

Mirror Force is much better than Mirror Wall to use but I just like Mirror Wall better. Though it using life pointes to use I never use it. Just like most other cards I like. Never use 'em. lol

Well Shenron is just awesome. Hard not to like. lol
I said most of the cards. =P Though I do like Harpies Baby Pet Dragon..>.> For some reason just not the adult form.

The best eyecandy in Yugioh was Marik, Bakura, Mokuba and Rabecca.
Fact.

Anyway, Marik/Bakura vs. Yami Marik = Biggest PIS in history of the series.

Thirdly, the English voice-acting in the show was pretty good.
YouTube video

Felt really bad for Kaiba after he lost because of how well-acted that scene was.

And finally....Draw your cards, and the let Shadow Game begin!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
YouTube video

Mokuba and Rebecca? 😆

What? No love for the shotas and lolis?

Well that and I find 'em annoying.

Oh and my favorite monster in the series...
