oh its my pleasure entirely, as is the case with everyone else, im sure.

in fact i think it was around page 12 that we were all discussing just how we should think/feel/discuss all this, and what basic thought patterns we should follow...yet you never showed up to tell us, so really we just spent the last 25 or so pages talking about knitting, ping pong, and various other hobbies.

Oh sounds cool... I love knitting! 😱

He was brilliant to be able to evade suspicion for four years in a pretty tough school to excel in, as I understand it. Many people ask themselves how did he make it to senior year? He was extremely knowledge in the technology aspect of things. It was reported that in the manifesto, the way it was set up was pretty skilled. He had a very good working knowledge of how to manipulate what he needed to set this whole thing up. I mean obviously buying his time, trying to stay low under radar and avoiding suspicion when warranted. Plus one of his professors said that he was quite well versed in his creative art class/ just the stuff was too damn nightmarish.

james bond avoids suspicion, this kid did everything to draw attention to himself

But neither of them were considered mentally unstable (to my knowledge) unlike Cho.
Um....do you not know what 'psychopath' means? It means someone that suffers from psychosis...Which, I hope you know, is a form of 'mental disorder or unstability'.

Interesting thing I read on the web recently: people want teachers to start carrying guns and have training in how to use them properly. Possibly one of the more retarded things I've heard, it's such a simplistic view of things that it's almost frightening. America's gun laws is part of the problem, and that is what needs to be addressed.

One another note...I heard they're trying to blame the shooting on the kid's love of Korean movies..I imagine that fact that he was mentally unstable and neglected by the authorities was the bigger problem, but there you go.

thankfully newt gengrich has figured out the cause of school shootings....THE LIBERALS!!!!!

Name of the School: Virginia Tech (College University)

It's just hours away from my house.

Of course it's being covered by all of the Local News so I'm fairly up to date as compared to the rest of the world.

Of course it happened in Virginia.

22 Dead. 28 Casualties. Numbers are expected to rise. Expected to end up in the Low 30's. If the death toll was to exceed 23, this even would be known as [B]The Deadliest Mass Shooting in U.S. History.

The mind boggling thing is that it occurred over 2 instances.

The first instance was around 7am this morning where someone was shot and killed in a dormitory.

Now what's mind boggling is that the school did nothing. No Police was called, school still went on as normal, which is why the second instance was able to happen where a class room a students were shot and and some killed, if not all and other places in the building as well.

A Professor was shot. In one instance students barricaded the door with their bodies, pushing against it trying to prevent the killer from getting in so he shot through the door and was able to shoot them that way.

So yeah......I believe the second, more horrible, instance could have been avoided if the proper precautions were taken after the first shooting.

The killer was a student there, of Asian decent and killed himself. How he died no one knows. They are suspecting another killer as well, but it's not confirmed. The killer was supposedly looking for his girlfriend.

Students were jumping out buildings to get away b/c in one of the buildings it took place on the 4th floor.

SO yeah.......

I have High School Classmates who actually go to that school......

EDIT: For those that care to read, here's some information, it's not as up to date though.

Well, what do you want us to say? Kids died. The kid who shot everyone else was mad. He was mad and he had to shoot everyone.

lol!!!

This was the fault of the college for doing nothing to stop this kid when they had many red flags that he was deeply disturbed.

Let's not overlook the possibility that people can do this sort of thing because they want to, it's not necessary or credible to slap them with the insanity cane every time something like this happens.

He was a human, it IS human nature to do these things. We're not a happy little race incapable of committing bad acts without our minds being messed up.

It may have been the case with this guy, but I don't think everyone should assume that until it's proven.

He sounds like he was very pissed off and took it a step too far, nothing, to me, suggests the man was insane.

-AC

The school had complaints from 2 students and at least 2 teachers that said they couldn't safely leave him alone in class and were scared of him. His writings had disturbing content. Perhaps if the school did it's job here not only could the killings have been prevented but the young man may have been able to be helped.

People are scared of Marilyn Manson for some odd reason, and also consider his writing disturbing.

The fact that Cho acted in an extreme way does not make him insane.

-AC

marilyn manson is actually a really nice guy. i met him in person a couple of years ago.

You mean he was nice to you.

It doesn't actually make him a nice person.

Either way, point being: People are scared of anything.

-AC

first impressions are everything to me. he was a very polite well spoken gentleman. "yes sir, no sir, thanks for the excellent customer service, here's a tip."...it was a $100.00 bill.

it doesn't necessarily make him a mean person either. people get all caught up in appearances, how someone looks, and determine that if they look like a freak that they are in fact a freak.
i try not to judge a book by the cover.
