You silly dodger... We both know it isn't there, I've checked... BUT, if it is, please copy and paste it now, IT'S REALLY THAT EASY, show me for the fool.

Repeat:

Well then enlighten us please; amaze us with your intellect and dazzle us with your wit... What is this "gay culture" you speak of? Also, if sexuality is a "culture" onto itself, what is "heterosexual culture", what is "bisexual culture", what is "bestiality culture" etc.

We await your retort.

Simply read back, that is not hard either you know.

I'm afraid you're making a point and then denying it yourself. You state stereotypes as valid examples of gay culture and they you say they aren't applicable to everyone. That doesn't make much sense to me.

there are no cultural norms that penetrate a population 100% of the time.

Actually the UN does have criteria which it uses to determine if it recognizes a culture or not.

Yes, I'm aware of that, which is why you can't use norms to define a culture.

No worries, I'm cool as a cucumber... I am just curious what a "well-educated and intellectual" person has to say to his claims of "gay culture", I know of no "gay culture", though I do know gay people, so I am interested.

And, I assume it's recognized homosexuality as a culture. Or, have they not?

we have different understandings of what constitutes a culture then.

I accept and respect that

No the criteria they are lacking for UN approval is their own language. They meet all other ones though.

This is ludicrous. Are you trying to say that GLBT has its own culture? That it's somehow separate from the rest of us? I have plenty of gay friends and I've never felt that there was a cultural divide between us. You can't rag on homophobes and then try to claim that gays "aren't like us." Which side are you on?

It's hypocritical to say the least 😬

So, you're saying that the stereotypes you use to define gay culture don't meet the criteria for culture that you're saying an organization uses to define a culture? So, by your own definition of culture, "gay culture" does not meet the requirements. Way to go law student.

So, what are all the other requirements?

So, what are all the other requirements?

1) They have to have existed for at least a set amount of time (I'll have to look that up)

2) Their own cultural aspects, beliefs, traditions, clothing, common practices, music and literature.

I believe their are more I will look them up.

You fail (again). In the future, do not make claims you cannot support, especailly as a lawyer.

Homosexuality is present in all cultures. You can claim that it has all but one of the requirements to be considered a "culture," but you're forgetting the crucial factor that there is no social center.

Suggesting that there is a "gay culture" is on par with saying that there is a "blue-eyed culture"

so, not to interject a non sequitur, but I just want to say this is nowhere near the stance on "gay culture" I support.

I did, you simply don't want to read back and look them over.
