And people think Surfer can beat Superman?

In Annihilation, Surfer defeats two beings that can tussle with Galactus.

In here, Black Panther grapples him and keeps him on a hold...

Hello? Where did all people who still think that Hudlin is a good writer go?

Hudlin didn't write it.

😑

...so there is someone who overrates Black Panther even MORE?

Who wrote this piece of crap?

I believe it was Firestorms writer.
He must have an attachement to black characters as well.

The same person who wrote Justice League Unlimited. shock

McDuffie?

Hah. And people actually thought that he would be a good writer.

Well the 35 issues of Firestorm were pretty good imo.

Ehh, I guess. But still, that one page cancels out every good page he has written.

I mean come on.

It's funny how everyone is calling foul, that this shouldn't have happened.Batman's been doing this for years, the shit Batman's pulled far outclasses this in the BS department.

It was a rear naked choke, none of you comic book nerds know how insanely impossible it is to get out of that move. If someone secures it in a mixed martial arts fights then its over. Use some logic.

Oh wait it was the Black Panther putting it on the Surfer...nvm...

It wasn't a rear naked choke, it was more like a standing kimura.

Also; rear naked chokes are only 'impossible' to get out of if you're on the ground with hooks locked in. Standing, there are a variety of options.

When has Batman overpowered Superman and threatened to break his arm off?

Yeah, because kicking Spectre or beating Grundy h2h are lesser feats... 🙄
You know a feat doesn't have to involve Superman in order for it to be a good or decent one...

Batman is more often subject to the symbolism of his icon status, rather than the human behind the mask. Besides that, Batman is important to reality and is a staple of it, according to the comics themselves. Usually his feats of similar stature of ambiguous or circumstantial by comparison as well.

Grundy changes every time he's born.

Kicking Spectre is a non-feat. He wasn't fighting Batman, nor does Spectre care about physical damage, as he isn't a physical entity, nor what he represents. Tons of characters of all ranges have done what looked like a lot of physical damage to Spectre... however, physical damage doesn't harm, nor can it defeat, nor kill Spectre.

The scan from where Batman kicks the Spectre is from recent Tales of the Unexpected. So the story goes The Spectre allowed Batman to kick him for some weird reason (go figured The Spectre methods) ...fact of this thread is that BP putting his hands of SS is just simply dumb...

He certainly is The Batman.
