Re: Praise & Worship/Testimonies/Prayers...
Wow. My old thread. 🙂
Things have changed alot since the post on the last page. I'm no longer an accountant, in fact I'm in full-time ministry at my church now. (check us out at the link under my sig.)
Since the last post, I've seen a lady get healed of Lupus at a small group meeting at my in-laws house (7 months ago, all subsequent tests that had previously shown positive for Lupus for 2 years are now negative), seen dozens of people receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues (including my mother and 15 year old brother, who I had the privilege of praying for as it happened), seeing those who come in with canes walk out with out them, and just this last weekend at one of our Impact Weekends, we had a young man who was 13, and had asthma all of his life.
He received his healing after prayer and the laying on of hands, and it was a miracle! Many came to feel the middle of his chest as it was pulsing and moving. Not his heart, but the center, and lower part of his chest near to the sternum. When one person would stop for a second, you could literally see his shirt rising and falling like a wave in that one spot as he stood still. The Holy Spirit, the power of God, was building, actually restoring his lungs!
God is good, all the time.
This is to be the first of many updates! 😱

I've made this thread as a place where Christians can give a testimony about something that God has done for them, a place to share worship and praise songs, for prayers and encouragement.
Non-Christians are of course welcome and encouraged to post, but please keep it positive. This isn't the place to dispute a claim or tell a Christian that they're wrong.

I appreciate what you're trying to do, and I am not suggesting it is wrong of you to post this here, but I don't think I'm going to participate. As a Christian, it gives me great joy to praise God and share with others what He is doing in my life; yet there are solid biblical grounds for having this conversation elsewhere [Matthew 7:6].
Oh, come on... speak in tongues for us. 😆

Well...congradulations.
At least at this point you are putting your money where your mouth is. AS of now, since you are an active member of the Church and its services, I think you have earned the right to speak on behalf of your religion.
I wish other Christians* on this forum would actually serve their church and thier cause instead of being preaching hypocrites. They know who they are.
But you actually got involved in something you beleive in, and are dedicating your time and effort into the intention of helping others. That deserves my respect. 👆

Thanks to both. 🙂
Been too long since I've updated this!
I'm not sure what to update for testimonies:
We've had 2 people healed of cancerous tumors that docs said were going to be the end of things, another lady pulled out of a coma that she wasn't supposed to come out of, but there's something else...something bigger.
I'm tempted to share it now, but I'm going to wait another week or so. Something has happened, something pretty big that I will be posting here with lots of pics. It's nearly finished and I want to present the testimony in it's completeness but I'll say that it has to do with me personally and my family. (most testimonies I've given have been about others. one about my father-in-law, but mostly other people)
For now, check out this awesome message by Pastor Judah Smith from Generation Church, the youth ministry of the City Church in Seattle. Pastor Judah's youth ministry reaches over 2000 people weekly and many more by Podcast and TV.
It's called "To Whom shall we go."

Do atheists ever survive cancer?
Are doctors ever wrong?
Do people who are not Christian ever wake up from a coma?
It is only your belief that makes these things seem to be extraordinary, but ultimately it only leads to suffering. For the time that it does not work leads a person to question themselves.
