That was kinda funny......and "thanks" for answering. It's appreciated.Thing is though, there was a couple times where you said "correct" and then "incorrect" about the very same thing.
You need to be clear about what AC meant with the stuff he says I misquoted him on (which it turns out I kinda did...but didn't realize it at the time since it seemed he was agreeing with me)
-I was talking about how "good" and "crap" can ONLY, POSSIBLY serve as WORDS to express the way a song might appeal to someone, to use in their reasons as to why they like or dislike the song.
-He then said "precisely"
-I quoted him as saying "precisely"...(cause I thought he agreed)
-He then said I misquoted him, and that I didn't quote the rest of his post (meaning he meant something else).
-I've since then added what was further said in his post, and indeed it seems he does not agree with my original quote. And he wanted to add more of what he said to better show how HE uses "shit"... in a different way or more of a way than mine. So about the Arctic Monkeys, Lily Allen, etc he said “So if I think something is boring or dull, like Arctic Monkeys, I think it's shit music, like Lily Allen.”…He “thinks it’s shit music”…not SAYS it’s shit music…THINKS it’s shit music.
CAN YOU NOT SEE THE DIFFERENCE? Come on!
So again Bardock, if I indeed did misquote him like he says I did (about him thinking "good" and "crap" can ONLY be words to express blah, blah, blah), and doesn't agree with me on this...then he obviously means something different or something more when HE uses "shit" to describe a song/band/music...That's why he asked that I use more of his quote to show HE uses “shit” to describe music…and it said about the Arctic Monkeys/Lily Allen “I think it's shit music “
-So know, be clear that he DID NOT agree with me that "good" and "crap", “shit” can ONLY serve as WORDS to express the way a song might appeal to someone. He disagreed with that because it seems like to him it’s more than that.
-And also know, be clear that he also DOESN'T think that the only thing you could mean by saying “this is crap" (about a song/a band/music) is that you like them or dislike them.
I think this... it APPEARED you thought this...and I know YTSE definitely thinks this.
To him it's MORE than that…and this is where I tie the two things up.
He's saying they're "crap to me"..."they're crap in my opinion"…but if indeed "good" or “crap” are (like he said) MORE than ONLY being words to express the way a song might appeal to someone, then he doesn’t think the only thing you could mean by saying “this is crap" (about a song/a band/music) is that you like them or dislike them.
There’s no way he could.
He says he “THNKS it’s crap music”…not SAYS it’s crap music...he's NOT using “crap” as a way to express how it appeals to him.
So ADMIT there’s a difference. ADMIT IT. Acknowledge the clear difference that exists there. And then we’ll talk objective music.
Dude, I am exhausted, I can't type stupid and idiot another 50 times. But you get the picture.
