In a going all out fist fight, without holding back? That is true but Thor is versatile and powerful enough that even though in this environment, Superman does have the physical advantage, Thor "can" still win.
That is simply my point. All the thread make asked, is who "can" win and not who "would" in a certain situation.
The amp in stats would be to monstrous for Thor to overcome, Supes is alreayd his superior even at base abilites....thor may need to call dad for help 🙂 .

At base, Thor and Superman in physical stats is highly debatable.
Current Thor and Superman are both more powerful as seen.
Either way, its great that Classic Thor isn't limited to, his fists alone. With his versatility, he can win without ever going into a hand to hand fight in the right situation.
You limit Thor to much. He is not a being who is limited to physical stats. He can win, without ever hitting Superman with his own fists. That's what so great about such a versatile power set.
Calling in Odin is overkill.

I think even most Thor fans would acknowledge this to be true...I don't see how it is highly debatable.
It is highly debatable.
Current Superman obviously has significantly more feats, but although he has little showings Current Thor is obviously a power house.
He took a blast from the Destroyer, and kept on going. In the past that would one shot Classic Thor etc.
If that is any indication of his strength etc., then it is debatable in my opinion.
Speed wise, Superman is obviously superior.

I don't limit Thor, he has versatility which is true...but he's to damn slow for any of it to work. Nimrod is more versatile then flash yet we all know Nimrod couldn't even lay a figure, with supes his speed plays a huge factor that is often overlooked or ignored. If it wasn't for Thors speed, I'd say he and supes are near equals.
Edit:Although in overall stats, I'd still consider supes a notch above Thor. Thor's only real saving grace is his versatility, but without speed to apply it effectivly it won't factor in.
They are near equals in physical abilities (Debatable for both as from what we have seen, currently, they are both power houses) with Thor being the one with the more versatile power set.
In overall stats, Thor and Superman currently should be very close physically with Thor being more powerful overall in my opinion (Yes Superman has T-Vo but the Thor Force etc. gives Thor the advantage in my opinion.).
Thor isn't slow, Superman is just fast, faster than almost anyone.
Classic Thor would need less, than 4 seconds (It's incredibly hard to judge time in only a few panels in comics so it is an estimation of course) to redirect all the energy in the vicinity as he did with the Null Bomb.
I'm under the impression, that Superman speed blitz every single opponent on these boards.
It's not very viable because you have to take into account the character's themselves.
I won't be saying that Thor god blasts Superman etc. unless he has shown to use lethal force against that certain opponent in the past.
He doesn't do that. Characters like Konvict etc. nail him plenty of times, even currently.
Like I said, if these two meet in this situation, it depends on who attacks first. Thor has the first go, and Superman will be drained of all his energy in a moment, but if Superman attacks Thor, Classic Thor would be overwhelmed, and would lose to this seriously amped Superman.
Although in a normal encounter, neither of the two would attack that savagely etc. Thor wouldn't redirect the entire energy from the Sun and Clark and kill Superman, and Superman wouldn't speed blitz an opponent or use T-Vo etc.
In a fist fight in this situation. Superman wins here.
Either way, this debate is pointless my friend.
The only thing the thread creator asked is who can win.
Thor can, and let's leave it at that because we are going around in some circles.
With me obviously kicking your ass in this debate.

Supes using speed is nothing like Thor using the godblast, it is more like a character performing a BRF then anything. It's a aspect to his power but clearly if he was doing it in every comic the issues would be paper thin...hence why BFR isn't used that much by characters who can clearly do it. In a forum fight with full capcity I don't see why it wouldn't be viable, his movement speed is just another aspect to his powerset like HV. A lot of folks always like to argue with SS using his"cosmic awarness"or Thor using his hammer to BFR, why Supes would be barred from using speed is a bit confusing. In a comic fight you might have a point, by on a forum fight with these characters all fighting on there best day I don't see why he wouldn't use it.
