Again, i cant accurately speak on canada's situation. In America the disabled are supported better than the people on welfare. Certian stages of depression can get you on disability. A friend of mine whom is paralyzed from teh waste down gets the hook up with disability. He often says its not fair how much he gets for disability and all the free healthcare he receives. Not being able to quote a number of abled bodies on welfare, im going to say from expereince and observation that the number is much higher than most people think. Welfare and credit card companies is one of the main attributes of the weakened economy in America, outside of foriegn spending and trade.
In Canada depression cannot get you full disabled benefits, we tend to cover the physical condition over the mental ones.
Well perhaps America's system is better then ours, becasue we don't even give them enough to pay for rent, let alone bills and food or anything else.
