Excuse me but no, they are not resistant in anyway, and why on earth should they feel embarrassed? It's not their fault that they are in the situation they are in. They have nothing to feel ashamed for.

We had mentally disabled people leave the grouphome for this very reason

because they were alloted as much freedom as they wanted, he was able to just up and leave into a situation that was by far worse for him than the home

hell, even everyday things like going out or going to the mall, these individuals do everything they can to appear as though they are not "with" staff, or even act as though they are staff of even more disabled individuals

a noticable lack of autonomy will make anyone resist. I'm sorry, but I've been there sir

Without post secondary education, the vast majority of disabled people are unemployable. And almost all of them cannot obtain post secondary education due to lack of funding or accommodations.

group homes provide both of these things

and nobody deserves free post secondary

The system I want does not exist, minimum wage went up 20% while disability pension only went up 2%

They don't get the help because the funding is not there for them.

Prove?

And again public housing projects would fix everything. Except for those bastards that don't want too, and they don't have to. If they can take care of themselves they can live in their own home but they shouldn't expect any luxuries.

Yes they should be able to live on their own and have at least what most people have in terms of Cable.

And yes they should have free post secondary, so they can find work that can better accommodate them.

Why do they deserve that? Because they are disabled? Many of them can still do things many of them want to do things. Community housing offers that for most of them, it heavily reduces costs for society and it gives them some of the luxuries you want them to have.

They deserve it because regular people have such an extreme advantage over them and they are unable to provide it for themselves.

And there is no reason they can't be given enough to find an apartment of their choice, for food, and pay the bills including cable.

And as I said myself and other law students as well as lawyers in my city are getting organized now and starting to fight for more, and in an election year I think we can stir up enough of a fight to get it.

So basically, you want cable?

Again, trolling,

I have said many times, that I have too much money to qualify for the program, I think of others besides myself and try to help them. I'm not greedy.

I still don't believe you are a law student, I actually find it hard to believe you have a functioning brain... And I really don't see how what you and your make believe friends are going to do matters.

And there are plenty of reasons, namely that they can take care of themselves. And people that can take care of themselves should do so, the government shouldn't be forced to do it.

But then I realized that I should reply to the endless stupidity you portray anyways, so I quoted it again.

It would not be unfair, their disability is what is unfair, giving them this much of a living is simply making up for that.

And it is about compassion. There is so much in life they never get to do or will never have the chance to experience, they deserve this much at least.

It would be unfair, they do not contribute, if they were born hundred years ago...they would just die. They should be grateful that they can life now and even decently. But, they do not contribute to society...so, no one should be forced to pay for their luxury items.

People with disabilities do not deserve luxuries - they're luxuries. No one has a right to luxuries, that's utterly stupid. Tertiary education is a luxury, the state does not need to provide education beyond secondary level for free.

Well, I am for free education on the whole, but that's a different issue I would say.

I would support free tertiary education, if it were offered to everyone on an equal basis. Tertiary education because someone says they have a psychosomatic disorder that causes them "extreme pain and fatigue?" Get out.

Yes it should, you guys are all so jealous of the fact that they get things for free, you over look the reasons why they do, being their disabilities that prevent them from enjoying even half the things your able to do.

That's nice, SquawkSquawk, maybe Kinko's will hire them. Got scans yet?

1. I really don't care about fibromyalgia. There are far more serious diseases, with real tangible proven conclusive physiological bases.

2. Got scans yet?

I see you didn't even read the links, and stay on topic.

How exactly is your blip of a "disease" which has been referred to as psychosomatic in your shitty links, on topic? I thought the topic was your idealistic and inept views of economics.

Got scans yet?
