Yea, I sent you a PM about it. Battle.net is seriously acting up right now. I just re-received all of my achievements, among other things.

Weird...hm, something about "authentication servers" or something.

Same in the EU. This is the real downside of online persistency. Combined with the region locking, you do feel that gaming is going backwards sometimes. 12 years of progress for a game that I cannot play with my American friends like I used to and now it seems at times I won't be able to play at all. Woo.

Blizzard has been quite annoying today with their authentication servers going down, now the achivements are "disabled until further notice". If they delete any of my achivements or remove any that I have worked hard towards I can be considered peeved...

Yea, Battle.net has been sucking this whole day. Though I wouldn't worry about achievements you already earned prior to today getting deleted.

"sigh", hopefully Blizz will fix these problems quickly. I dont like having to stop my momentum in playing a game. As another note, what level is faster, shatter the skies or belley of the beast? personally I would suggest the latter but you never know.

Boy oh boy, I can't even log in right now. I've done 'Shatter the Sky' on my first playthrough on Normal difficulty and it was pretty fast: just hitting the coolants with a bunch of Banshees. I haven't even played 'Belly of the Beast'.

EDIT: Looks like I managed to log in... after being stuck on the Login screen for about 10 minutes.

What I would be wary of is earning any achievements whilst they are in this state of flux- some people have reported problems, especially with the ones that count other achievements.

Sweet. I just got upgraded to Platinum league in 1v1. I feel special.

Also, Blaxican and I are a dangerous force in 2v2.

When you did your 5 placement matches, how many did you win because does winning 5 get you a placement in higher tiers than if you only won one or two? so far I have played only two and won them both but I wonder if I am facing higher tier players with every win. E.g. now I have won two, I am going to have to go against someone of Gold or Platinum tier or something?

Also what Screampaste mentioned about Terrans walling off, a similiar thing happened to me. It was easy because he cannot do anything inside his little shell and i had full map control because of his decision. As soon as a couple of banelings hit his ramp that was it, his Depots went down and my 30+ zerglings rushed his handfull of marines and marauders.

It seems a zergling or baneling rush is hard to beat at least for players I have fought so far.

I believe how the system works is that it does indeed begin having you fight harder and harder opponents. If you win all 5 you are put in Platinum. If you win 4 or 3 you are usually put in gold, 2 is silver, and 1/0 is Bronze. This is not always the case, though. A friend of mine won 3 of 5 and he was still put in Bronze for some reason. Probably depends who you win against, and maybe even how you win.

Also, yeah banelings are very powerful against a walloff involving supply depots. Good Terrans, when fighting against a zerg player, will simply wall off using a Barracks and a Factory, both of which are much harder to take down with banelings.

Thats still a poor tactic when considering, a Zerg player by their very nature will swarm the map and take most resource nodes. I would have thought a more aggressive tactic such as those concerning hellion rush on Drones and zerglings or such would be a better tactic.

And I just finished the Campaign on Brutal 100%, I have every campaign and story mode achievement including Lost viking Gold

Sorry for double post but I just got into Gold league (Rank 50 at the moment but every win seems to give me 30 points due to opponents being favoured) and I am enjoying multiplayer thus far. Its a shame there are not more Europe people who play it on here, we could have a few games for competition or just for fun.

As a side note, just had a great game vs a protoss player, zerglings+infestors ftw! has any protoss player felt that sinking feeling when you have a ton of zerglings attacking you, you would win because you have a few colossi but then have a couple of infestors take them over with their mind link thing?...lol, it was gg soon after 😄

Finally finished the campaign.

The story was good but not amazing and it was too chopped up for my tastes but the mission design was first class. Loved the missions, they were alot of fun. I also found the research and tech upgrades pretty interesting and I wish you can play the campaign with them already unlocked from the previous campaign. Would be kinda of cool to use them with a harder difficult level.

Personally I ask for nothing more from the SC 2 storyline, things happened as the previous canon outlined.

is there a way to use all research tech upgrades, both protoss and zerg? that would be awesome.. without cheat or with cheat..

Beat my first Diamond league player last night. Was exciting.
