Everything involving Surfer makes plenty of sense though. He's a pansy so getting knocked around and not butchering people isn't that far fetched because it happens in nearly every Surfer appearance. Why I label him a pansy for not killing his friends is beyond me.

Haters should face it. Storm is finally getting the power showings that she deserves. Thanks to McDuffie and Hudlin. Two writers that get paid just like all the other writers get paid, to do the same thing that all the other writers do.

"ever done" is the key phrase. and times are changing. it is totally within her power set to do what she did.

She sees the universe in terms of energy, and can manipulate that energy, and bend it to her will. Taking the electrons from Stardust is within the nature of her powers, Herald or not.

(I'm not sure that Heralds have the ability to sap mutants of their powers. Especially if the power is not dependant on an outside power source (the sun, gamma radiation, etc.)

(Personally, I think the Surfer would mop the floor with SuperMan. Based on his power set alone. I also think he'd get the W in a fight with Capt. Marvel (Shazzam)) But this is what i think, and apparently i'm alone (foamed at the mouth during argument)

In fact, multiple times during her career, different writers flirted with the idea of a fully powered up Storm. It just took leaving the X-men and sitting down with two other writers to actually get something dope on record.

Storm continues to suck.

She sucked when she had a mohawk and was the leader of the X-Men, she sucked when she was leading the "X-Treme X-Men", she sucked when she married T'Challa and she sucks now.

It's nothing new 😬.

She can psionically move ATOMS per FF 545. Even BEFORE that was written I knew she could do that. On McDuffie's board someone was arguing me up and down about how she can't psionically move and coalesce water vapor/MOLECULES. She "indirectly" does it by slightly tinkering with this and that. Ya know, using certain words to minimize.

It's so sad.

Storm's an atmokenetic, rather an elemental. She's liable to do anything given it has something to do with the elements.

The elements are all around.

Man, I want her to make a storm in someone's brain, or their whole body, even.

And I think that may be the worse part out of all this you actually think that this shows Storm to be an equal of the heralds or at least comparative. The fact is that the entire story was about them delaying the heralds so BP could go get his stuff. Even the writer that is wanking Storm knows that he needed a plot device to beat the heralds.

The entire battle was basically Flashy delay time. Basically let's make them delay heralds for an entire issue. You also fail to mention that Human Torch and Big Ben were all doing well.

And in the end the fact remains a fancy delaying tactic doesn't change the fact that the heralds should have been able to end the match within the first second. 😬

She was my 1st crush as a kid (Black kid growing up in Germany)

I've always liked her attitude and thought her powers were cool (I always thought that there was more to them).

She has great story potential, and in my opinion could have an even shadier past than Wolverine (what if Charles lied to her about being a Mutant? He's been "lying" to everyone else about everything lately. Forge's gun was designed for "Enhanced Humans" and not "Mutants" specifically. (crazyfanboyravings))

Even when she didn't have her powers she was still awesome.

(In a way it's almost like we've grown together. "When I was a child i thought as a child." That is to say, with recent developments and a more "Grown up" environment, I can't wait for the queen of Wakanda to start Whippin Ass and scratchin names. Her attitude as evolved as a character and I'm interested in where they take her.)

Like Storm was about to get destroyed by Stardust when Torch or Ben saved her.

The fact is that the heralds are still way faster than these guys and bloodlusted should destroy them in any way imaginable. From burning their bodies to crisp. Even if they just strangled her with their bare hands.

By the way Ben and Colossus both received official upgrades. Storm hasn't had an official or unofficial upgrade yet. Just some decent showings but nothing that contradicts her earlier power levels.

What drastic differences. Mighty likes Storm because of the character and wants that to develop further. 2cloud likes her powers and seems to only want her to get more powerful with no care for character.

In a way she did manipulate the power cosmic😖hifty:

They both started to do feats that were past their previous power levels. That is an unofficial upgrade and then it gets put into their online bios and the handbooks that is an official upgrade.

The problem with Storm is there is no unofficial upgrade here. There really aren't any good feats. She along with two other people were trying to delay the heralds. The story was written as such with them talking a lot and blind siding the heralds. In fact the point was made quite clearly that a one on one with the heralds would have been very bad. I more or less call this a small amp for plot sakes. the heralds obviously were not using their strongest abilities or their abilities to the fullest. The other team on the other hand seemed to be showing a little more power than before. That goes for everyone BP, Torch, Ben, and Storm.

Storm's a burgeoning God.

Even without her powers she STILL posesses those qualities. As a matter a fact her powers override her x-gene mutation. Even without them she can still feel nature.

Actually Storm's attack matches quite nicely with the way MacDuffie has been writing. He makes assumptions about characters by looking at them. That was the root of the whole Surfer fiasco.
