Actually Storm's attack matches quite nicely with the way MacDuffie has been writing. He makes assumptions about characters by looking at them. That was the root of the whole Surfer fiasco.

Hopefully he has insight on Ororo thanx to me. 😎

Holy damn, I don't want to hear any ****ing ringtones!

the differnce between Storm and those guys is this.

They both started to do feats that were past their previous power levels. That is an unofficial upgrade and then it gets put into their online bios and the handbooks that is an official upgrade.

The problem with Storm is there is no unofficial upgrade here. There really aren't any good feats. She along with two other people were trying to delay the heralds. The story was written as such with them talking a lot and blind siding the heralds. In fact the point was made quite clearly that a one on one with the heralds would have been very bad. I more or less call this a small amp for plot sakes. the heralds obviously were not using their strongest abilities or their abilities to the fullest. The other team on the other hand seemed to be showing a little more power than before. That goes for everyone BP, Torch, Ben, and Storm.

I believe in the thread for the last issue on McDuffie's site he does mention the Heralds being at the more touchable gets-hit-by-a-left-cross-by-Hulk end of the spectrum rather than the peak nano-second-reaction-and-lightspeeds-movement end.

Nope, he said they were unthinkably powerfull STILL, but not untouchable.

He's right, they're not. 🙁

Was this in the thread for this issue?

Yep.

It was in reference to someone bitching about Storm. It was right around where he made the "kitty analogy".

Then why did say nope?

You were trying to correct me, correct?

When the Hell will they encounter the Zombies already.....

Stardust didn't seem to be pulling any punches.

A sentiment that is betrayed by other people saying that "she could never do that", or " She can't do that", or "She's never done that before."

Yes.

With the "actual quote" from the thread for this issue on McDuffie's site?

You can always go look for it yourself.shocklaugh

He obviously had.......

in mind when he wrote this issue, hence "unthinkably powerful"😐

The point was I was referring to something he said in the discussion for the last issue. He made a point of not portraying them as stars moving at lightspeed for the sake of the story. He said so. In the discussion over the last issue, a month or so ago. I'm not talking about this issue's discussion.

Please know what you're trying to correct before you fail at correcting it.

blah blah.

Throw in the towel. 🙄

if mcduffie HAD had that type of power in mind, in which the heralds were registering events going by by the nano-second, it would've seemed like a month was going by in the time it took storm to say "murderer." maybe it's just me, but i think stardust has enough gumption and raw ability to react to a threat within a month. so, you know, he obviously DIDN'T have that in mind when writing it. you're very bad at making concrete leaps of logic, i've noticed.

Unthinkably power, not untouchable.

That's YOUR interpretation of their powers. She still did what she did.

It is what it is 😎

so he obviously DIDN'T have their ability to perceive events by the nanosecond, react at the speed of light and generally move and act exponentially faster than human comprehension. otherwise, they would have been untouchable, yes?

Silver surfer is worthless if he cant even get out of a head lock
