You guys actually think he's still weak to lightning? I guess you missed his fight against Livewire, she was packing enough raw electrical energy to destroy a city, and Superman was still weak from the previous issue with Queen of Fables. Guess what? He won that fight too, by using his speed, and artic breath to create a giant stormcloud in the upper atmosphere around her, and she was overloaded from the electrical discharge.
He can make lighting bolts and storm clouds.
He can dodge lightning bolts.
He can take them head on and keep going.
Whirlwinds? He breathes or waves his hands or spins in circles and disspates them. He can also create them in this fashion.
It's seriously just two different levels.
