I have no problem seeing Johnny kiss Keira because it was acting, it's like a game. (He was 42, lol.) But if in real life Keira and Johnny got together I would be disturbed, but if Keira and Orlando (Who was 29) got together in real life I wouldn't be disturbed because that's the same age gap as my dad and my step-mum.
Right...is it any more disturbing than Demi Moore who is 44 married to Ashton Kutcher who is 29????
or how about actor Michael Douglas (62 years old) who is married to Catherine Zeta-Jones who is 37?????
But, any ways...it doesn't really matter...
and what about you young ladies that are around 21...if Johnny was interested in you...would you find it disturbing???? I work with this girl who is 19 and she says all that time that she would have 10 babies with Johnny Depp......and she knows he's 44.....LOL
I don't think age is a factor at all...well maybe in some cases yes. You wouldn't want to be with some one who doesn't think the same as you do or doesn't have the same interests as you do but...most times age doesn't matter.
I'm not talking about Willabeth or Sparrabeth I'm just saying that love desn't depend on age.

About age, the older you get the smaller the gap seems I think, because right now Orlando could think "Eww, she's only been of age for 6 years" But then when he's like 40 she'd be 32 which isn't really that big a deal.

I'm not talking about real life getting-together and all that stuff. I'm just wondering if Willabethers find it weird to see a 21-year-old actress kissing a 43-year-old actor. After all, even Johnny said it felt awkward at first but being professionals, both of them just let it take over.
Okay, I guess I can kinda see your point now, Willabethers. BUT isn't chemistry all about innuendo? Unresolved Sexual Tension (UST) is what makes screen pairings interesting, isn't it? It isn't so obvious and clear-cut like Will and Liz. To me, Will and Liz is like Prince Charming and Snow White, or Prince Charming and Sleeping Beauty, or Prince Charming and Cinderella.
Think of all the screen pairings with UST. The unspoken is always so much more exciting. Eg, the mother of all ships - Mulder/Scully of X Files.

Yuh so, I don't think chemistry is just about UST it can be about RST, but in any film with a prince charming there is no kind of tension resolved or other wise. Plus I think there WAS some unresolved with Will and Elizabeth, until the end, but potc could be over so it's good that it was resolved.
In response to the old people kissing young people, screen kissing is unromantic so there's nothing wrong with Johnny and Keira because they're pretending.

No. Although I've heard it's a reason from other W/E shippers, I think it's a pointless one.
My problem with J/E lies in that aside from some big-time flirting well...that's all it is. On top of it all, Jack is the only one who seems to really be interested in Elizabeth; Elizabeth is not all that interested in Jack.
Everything she did with Jack seemed to have some sort of ulterior motive, but with Will it is an honestly felt relationship. Yes, I know, they had their little trust issues, but I've pointed out numerous times that they've worked it out on their own.
And here's another reason I don't like J/E:
Elizabeth killed Jack.
To me, it's appalling and somehow disturbing how people have flocked in numbers to try to pair Jack up with the person who killed him. This is not meant to offend, but come on.
Jack died and suffered because of Elizabeth, hot kiss or not. She did something almost completely unforgivable to him, and you want them to ewwww, run off together because they're hot?
I can't believe it's never occurred to any of you that the natural progression of a relationship is that once someone kills you, the nature of the relationship changes, and not in a good way.
Yeah, yeah, the script said Jack desired her even more after she chained him up, but at that point he wasn't dead yet and hadn't been in some sort of Hell for 7 months going mad(der) bit by bit.
Another thing about J/E....I don't really like them as a couple. Partially this is just because I don't find Johnny that attractive (and I've tried to see the error of my ways, trust me). I just don't like him, I don't really like Jack all that much (fun as he is), and I don't like J/E as a couple because of it. 😛
Now, Norribeth is my main ship, but W/E has worked it's way into a tie. 😄 I just love everything about them, from their first awkward moments together to how they do anything for each other, to that lovely, sexy moment on the beach when they finally, for a few hours, get to put the world on hold and just be together. And other reasons too, but I'm tired and I'm going to nap. 😛

I think that should be one of the reasons why she should stay with him 😄 She must make it up to him somehow. Also she should be thankful for saving Will. The only thing that she can do is to stay with him. Her "Thank you jack" is not enough.
It's not like that only people who are J/E fans didn't like W/E ending. My father just saw the movie for fun. The first thing he said after seeing it, was: How could she stay with that boy?
Unfortunately, for me Will is a boy too, he's not the type of guy that I'd like to see with a Pirate King. He lives and he's immortal as the captain of FD only thanks to Jack... His father is free only thanks to Jack... I would love to add - he has a son - only thanks to jack 😛
