The End was a standalone story that took place in the 616 Reality, and it's 100% Canon.

4321 concerns Akhenaten's origin in specific,

HE came from Reality 4321, not the Arc itself.

In issue #2 there are cut scenes of AK's beginnings taking place and how he ended up working for the Celestial Order, that story takes place in another time, another place, hence Reality 4321.

So he was given an option to place the story in a Twin Marvel Reality that represents everything Marvel is, but wasn't really because it was a copy of Marvel.

Jim did NOT LIKE this idea, and Jim wanted his story the END to be CANON,

so Jim decided to destroy and recreate the Prime Multiverse instead,

this way keeping the story CANON.

When did DC officially announce that Elseworlds were canon? I've only heard then announce that they weren't. If you have a link to them saying this, I'd like to read it.

DC announced it twice. once in the kingdom and once in the IC saga, and oh yeah, then again mxy showed it to us in Superman Batman 25. so that would make thrice.

NO it was something along the lines of showing that every elseworlds universe was an actual reality and not just something made up. I'd have to go digging thru scans to find exact postings. But we have gone over this enough times already on this forum. It's generally known that the else worlds are indeed cannon.
