Marvel has shown on panel that The End is canon. If you want to go by your qualification of Elseworlds being canon, then on panel should be enough for The End, also.

not the same, actually. if DC came out at some point SINCE IC was published and said, hey, we screwed up, the elseworlds scenes in IC should not have been included and are not considered canon, THEN we can say they are non-canon. they've said nothing to that effect. 😬
in the case of THE END, AFTER the scene in thanos marvel declared the events non-canon. that's a rather susbstantial difference imo.
