The PIS rule does get over used but in most cases people go by averages (really closer to mode but whatever).
If a feat is ridiculously beyond what a character has ever been show capable of before or since there's really no problem disregarding the feat since once it's averaged in it might as well not exist.

If Thor comes back in his classic form, and starts out moving/destroying planets, creating antimatter via the hammer, stopping time, and chumping cosmics, i'd bet money that certain posters would scream PIS.
PIS is basically picking individual showings i don't like.

You're pissed that Superman is above and beyond your view of how he should be represented. So what do you do? You make threads to try to deface his position of power. Constantly harassing and doubting the status quo of how things are in the DC universe, even though it's been like that since forever. As it stands, Superman is the number one hero, yet swallowing that fact is painful for you. You talk about PIS being bullshit, yet it's extremely convenient for you to use against Superman's showings where he looks completely dominant over his "peers" in the league. You realize DC wants him above all the rest, yet you can't come to terms with that fact.
The semantics of it don't make sense to you. You're constantly in search of a top tier character to completely dominate him in a fight. When you recognize that the list of top tiers able to beat Supes for a majority is extremely short, you b*tch about it. You know Black Bolt gets stomped against Superman, yet you continue to press the issue. If the above feat is Black Bolt's best, then why is this even a fight?
The sad thing about all of this? You more than most realize he's above the rest, yet you just can't accept the facts about it. 🙂
So, how is this debatable? His speed + strength combo is a mother f*cker for any top tier to deal with. So MANY confused versatility with power, yet only a few understand that they're not the same thing. This happens to be one of the reasons you can't stand Superman being observed as above them all. A lack of versatility doesn't hinder one's power output.
And I still don't think you're getting the fact that Supes has the ability to counteract BB's scream with his own voice.
The only way for Black Bolt to compare is if he's consistently shown to be at the top of the top tier list, or to be above nearly all of them in Marvel.

Speed + Strength + Heatvision with a little freeze breath would work really nice. Superman is above Black Bolt he isn't capable of taking down the big guy.
