I think savage Hulk has the mind of a 9 year old. Oh yeah was this 12 year old constantly being attacked by superhumasn and having to use superhuman strength to defend itself? The point is that the Hulk may have caused fatal casualties inadvertantly, not intentionally. But people could still be dead, nonetheless. And Reed noted that if Bruce Banner had it in him to kill himself, he would have done it by now. And 40 years of comic history shows the Hulk isn't always trying to defend himself; sometimes he's just angry & causing damage and casualties - Thor vol.1 #385 (though just a fill-in issue, where Stan Lee exaggerated the Hulk's malevolance.)
